Works great to haul multiple kayaks at a single time; I fit two on the roof of my mini-van. I’ve got lots of hours on these now and still work great. Tip: if you get a humming sound from the straps give them a quarter or half turn in each spot that they are parallel to your direction of travel.

You’ll have to buy hood attachments but overall great product. I just got roof racks and the foam is still usable with the racks and is made for them as well. Didn’t dent my roof, left some minor scratches, but that’s to be expected. Would not recommend on dark colored cars.

My roof rack bars shape like water drops, one side round and one side sharp. So I was worried that this sponge would not fit to the bars. But this sponge was flexible enough to squash in to the bars. And its upside shaped just perfect to my Hobbie quest 13. Installation wasn't that easy because I had to unscrew the roof bars to get the sponge on, and then get the bars screwed again. We were a bit skeptical about using this on a fiberglass sea kayak, but just had to get ours 300 miles to a final destination. It did great. One stop to add another rope to keep the bow from twisting at expressway speeds that was just a reminder that you can't be too careful. Not really meant for a kayak but they work. Straps that come with it are very narrow and the clasp doesn’t hold very well. Instead I use ratchet straps to hold everything in place. The foam blocks do stay in place.

This product is definitely worth the money it transported my kayak safely and effectively, only I bought it to use on my own and I hadn't considered that I was not tall/nor strong enough to lift my kayak up onto them alone. Haha whoops so I gifted it to my taller more capable friend🤷
