When shopping for electric bikes, I found prices and features to be all over the place. we wanted an electric bike that would fold so we could take it in our SUV or in our travel trailer. We didn't want a folding 20" bike, which is what mostly what is associated with a folding electric bike. When we found the Totguard 26" folding electric bike, it checked all of our boxes. This bike looked tough with a mountain bike style, fat tires , wider seat, headlight, folding frame and a 500 watt motor. We liked the looks and features of the ebike so much that we purchased two (His and Her's). at 62 and 59 years old, we wanted an ebike so we could get a work out, but also have the ease of using power when needed. Assembly was a breeze, with 75% of the ebike already assembled upon arrival. I am 5-8" and my wife is 5-9" and the bike fits us both comfortably and is fun to ride. It appears to be of good quality and time will tell how well it holds up. The media could not be loaded. I purchased this ebike about a month ago and already have nearly 400 miles riding it. Because of where I live and because the closest bike riding area is not that close, I don't take my non electric powered bike on long trips because it's exhausting. With this, getting to the park/lake bike trail is actually fun even though it's 7 miles away. About the build: it feels strong and heavy with secure connections and frame. The tires are humongous and so are the brake disks on the wheels. I wish the handlebar could have been height adjustable but I will eventually do that with some aftermarket parts. The controller is easy to adjust and very responsive. The light seems bright but I rarely ride at night so it doesn't make a difference for me. Ride comfort: this is my first bike with dual suspension and I can feel the difference. I usually ride on a Rocky path and that's where I notice it. It accelerates quickly especially on the fastest mode and reaches top speed in around 10 second. I was able to get up to 21mph with a slight decline. Range wise, I can make close to the estimated range when riding around my home on an average speed and around half of it when I ride on hills and at higher speeds. Charging: I like that the battery can be removed easily by folding the frame. Because I park mine in the garage, where it tends to get hot now and will get cold once the winter comes, removing the battery is and charging it in the house is usually what I do, but it has a port under the frame where it can be charged while in the bike. Impression: It feels solid and conformable to ride without a change so far. It's fairly quick and has a decent range even when pushing it to the max capacity. I liked the futuristic design that probably attracted me the most and made me get it. ... show more

Poorest customer service ever. Beautiful bicycle, unfortunately, extremely heavy, really hard to fold. Not so hard to assemble. Manual does not match with the bicycle model, charging port indicator does not show if the battery is charged or not. Chain came off track and the directions provided by seller does not work. They won't honor Amazon return policies. I had to pay for shipping costs to return, the cost for shipping is over $150. So, if you receive your bicycle damaged or with any issues be prepared to pay for shipping to return it. Seller sent 2 different return addresses and Amazon customer service will not give you any support since they are a 3rd party seller. ... show more

UPDATE: I ended up selling the bike locally. The seller couldn't help with the return since I didn't have the original box. That's not their fault. They've been pretty understanding and helpful throughout this entire saga. Again, it's a great bike. It looks beautiful but please only buy it if you are 5'9 and above or have a longer leg to torso ratio. If they had a 26 inch fat tire bike with a smaller geometry, then I would buy from them again. This bike is tall. They suggested 5'7 and above. That is a lie. Do not buy if you're smaller than 5'9. Now I have a massive bike that I cannot return since I don't have the box anymore. It was easy to assemble and it is a gorgeous bike. It works out of the box. Nothing was missing and they give you all the tools to assemble the bike. The manual is not as detailed on the assembly portion but you can figure it out after a tiny amount of head scratching. I would have loved to give it 5 starts but I can't use it. ... show more

I am a 6’2” person with a recent knee and back injury and needed a new e-bike with better suspension and easier to ride if I can’t get home manually. This bike fit those needs the fat tires and full suspension’s eat bumps and curbs on the roads. As an experienced e-bike rider I was a bit surprised how rigid the assist mode is it really only allows you to move at 6, 12, or 20mph with the assist on. It’s a bit different and takes some getting used too. Also when cruising at 20mph it has a bit of suspension bounce even on a smooth road. It climbs the hills around my house easily. It’s surprisingly powerful and fun to ride overall for the price it’s a great value. Battery life (pictured) is really pretty good that is one full charge, the bike while running showed 1 bar left on the charge bar so it’s really very low. I’m a heavy guy and used a lot of motor only on road riding around the area. So it’s a fair review of battery life. Over all 5 star purchase. Pros Ride cushioning Battery life Good night ride safety Fast recharge time (4hrs) Cons Throttle response (mushy) Odd sizes for seat tube can’t swap out seat easily Handlebar height not adjustable 1 month 60mile update. Bike continues to perform well only needed a good going over to tighten screws. Getting a lots of minor squeaking I have not run down cause it does not bother when riding. Battery charge has run out to about 18 miles in powered or assist mode. No real difference between the too. Still love the bike. ... show more
