  • Wonderful tool
Style: Folding Saw 210mm
Great buy. I'm a 64yr female and this suits me. Easy to cut branches off. Only gripe is the case. I have a smaller version and the case has a metal lanyard which makes carrying easy, this larger model lacks that. I just tied a loop into the moulded hole to carry it. Great tool. Ergonomic and very efficient. Don't let that deter you. This little saw rocks. ... show more

  • Great for your backpack
Style: Folding Saw 210mm
I bought two of these for my hiking gear. I’m very impressed on their construction. The teeth are aggressive and sharp. The handle is built well seems to be a very solid and rugged tool. Must have for a GHB.

  • Sillllky smooth
Style: Folding Saw 210mm
I liked how fast it cut right through a steel pipe. No jk but it does cut right through large limbs like butter. Also of course being Japanese steel it’s very well made. Spend the extra money and get a silly

  • I love well made tools
Style: Folding Saw 210mm
This is the small best handsaw you can buy. Period. This saw is such a pleasure to use. When sectioning small logs you can cut them PERFECTLY smooth and see the beauty of the wood. I got this for the truck tool bag, the bigger gomboy for the garage. Now looking for the best one for the garden shed. I won’t buy(or use) a different brand. Don’t muscle it. Cut like you’re trying trying to form a 90 degree edge then cut thru the edge and repeat. That probably how you’re supposed to use a saw.. Fact is, this saw will amaze you.. Any reviewer not rating this 5 stars can’t use a saw or is just in denial.. Japan still makes the best products and some companies have a stubborn commitment to quality unseen in ANY other modern countries. This is one of them. ... show more

  • Useful synopsis - Surprisingly Effective Saw
Style: Folding Saw 210mm
Cuts one inch and smaller (hard and soft) branches in 3-5 pulls or about 5 seconds (max). Cuts two inch wood in about 10-20 seconds depending on hardness. Cuts 3 inch wood in about 30-40 seconds depending on hardness. Didn't test larger, but adding 15 second increments per inch is a safe 'scale' to determine how quickly it will cut. I'd probably max out on 5 or 6 inches though. It can be done, but will be more tedious considering blade length. Makes some clean cuts, even with the large teeth, and is extremely easy to use. I lightly push back over the cut without digging in to make it easier to keep cutting. It requires hardly any effort to cut (emphasis on that), which is extremely useful in not burning excess calories. The 'sheath' holds nicely on a belt (unless you're wearing a 'loose' belt), and will spray paint mine as the orange stands out through the clear plastic (which is good if you're trying to find it if dropped, but not if you're trying to keep a 'low profile'). It is not as secure of a latch on the 'sheath' as I'd like it be, but it didn't pop open on me while frolicking about testing it lol. Worst case, I'll keep it the pack, and put it on the belt when processing wood. Invest in different 'sheath' if you use a 'loose' tool belt as this primarily stays on through compression between your body and belt. (Which is comfortable by the way) The large teeth make quick work of any wood. Can use a multi-tool for fine (small) cutting, or a medium blade (I'll be purchasing another large and possibly medium blade for versatility but extra blades will -not- fit in the case unfortunately). This size is perfect for practically all your needs except large wood processing. The weight is negligible (far exceeds usefulness vs weight, it's extremely light anyways) and will be a necessary item as it'll outperform any hatchet and most axes, especially when considering energy usage. I don't suspect durability will be an issue, but it's fair to expect many years of heavy usage. Only downside is you can't sharpen the teeth apparently. Will put that to the test when the time comes, and is also the reason I'm purchasing some extra blades. Bottom line, this thing is an invaluable resource in the backcountry. Definitely worth the money and is a good investment. Glad I bought it. ... show more

  • Very sharp
Style: Folding Saw 210mm
These are extremely sharp when new (be careful) and go through tree trunks almost like butter. I don't think they can be re-sharpened, and new blades are probably as expensive as the whole saw. Eventually when they are dull they will be trash, but they will hold up for a while and make sawing wood almost fun. ... show more
