Worked as advertised. I'm writing this shortly after receiving the unit so I don't have any longevity data to share. The unit is easy to setup and use. It took me 5 minutes to read the instructions and figure out how to program this. Basically when you first plug it in, you set the current time (to the nearest 30 minutes), the time you want the block heater to turn on, and the time you want it to turn off. Good quality unit. Easy and quick to program. Precise enough for block heater use. I have this controlling my block heater and battery blanket. So far for the past week it has done its job. Also is the cheapest timer on amazon, which was nice if you don't need precision down to the minute.

I used this timer all of the 2013-2014 winter on my 2012 Jeep Wrangler's block heater, and it worked flawlessly. The engine block heater only needs 2-3 hours max warm up time, so anything over that time is electricity wasted, especially at 400watts! Yes, there is no memory backup, but what timer does? Works well to let me give my car engine block heater power during the off-peak rates, shuts off before the rates go up yet still lets me heat the engine and warm the car without having to run outside and plug/unplug it.
