Noisy over time. Cumbersome at first to set time. It’s easy to accidentally hit the tabs when pushing it back into the outlet. Assuming the inconsistent time may be due to short bursts of power outages. Overall you are getting what you paid for. If noise isn’t a factor, it does the job for the most part.     • Affordable Timer For Christmas Lights
Need a timer with at least two three-pronged outlets and this timer filled the bill. Only thing I would change is to mark the always-on/timer switch on top more clearly so it is easily identified that the timer setting is on the right.

So, I have two bearded dragon enclosures, I was literally turning on the lights at 9 AM and missing the 9 PM shut off time. After reading a very detailed comment and watching one YouTube video I figured out how the timer actually works! The instructions dont do any justice. If you order this I’d advise doing some research first or even going to Lowe’s and looking at the exact same item and take a picture of the instructions on the back of that box. ... show more

Function without fail. Inexpensive mechanical can be counted on far more than any of the digital ones. The only short coming is that the switch to constant “on“ is not labeled.

This item is priced for what you get and three out of the four I bought work. However, I would be cautious to repurchase because the push buttons are not high quality and when I’d push some down they wouldn’t go down all the way or others would move when I would press some down. As I said, I have three that work, and for the price those three serve their purpose. In the future I would spend a little more for a name brand product. ... show more

    • Saves cell phone batteries from over charging
I Used an old LG5 for Alfred camera security, but constant charging killed the battery in 2 mos. I used this Fosmon timer for 30min on & 30min off throughout the entire day... 1/2 the total charging time & still 100% battery throughout the day.

    • A great deal on dependable, easy-to-set timers
Easy to set, especially if you've used this type of device before. If not, set it using these simple steps: 1) Pull ALL the pins around the dial to the UP position. (The timer comes with all the pins down). 2) Turn the dial until the arrow points to the CURRENT time, noting the black half for pm and the white half for am. (Since it's not digital, you're not going to get it to the exact minute. No biggie.) 3) Next, push the pins DOWN to indicate the times you want the power ON. 4) Finally, plug in your device, plug the timer into an outlet, and you're ready to go! (Check the switch on the side to make sure it's not in the "always on" position.) If want to test it, just plug it into a lamp, push ONE pin down that's close to the current time and wait. You will see the dial turn, and when it reaches that one pin, your light should come on. When it passes that pin, the light should go off. Now you know it's working. (Don't forget to pull the test pin back up.) Both of mine work like a charm. They're VERY quiet, unlike other timers I've had that grated the nerves with a relentless grinding sound. Overall, this is a great deal if you need a pair of dependable, inexpensive, no-frills timers. I use them to turn the lights on and off in different rooms when I'm out of the house at night. Don't know if it deters burglars, but it makes me feel better, and you can't put a price on peace of mind. ... show more
