This is the best gadget in the world! Inexpensive, works just as promised. I like this one vs the digital, once you press the buttons down, they do not need to be reset if there is a power outage, only the time needs to be reset. I got this for my outdoor lights and it works exactly as expected. Setup was straightforward and the timer does its job without any fuss. It’s been outside in the weather and seems to handle moisture and rain just fine. The only downside is the two outlets are pretty close together, so I couldn’t plug in two wider plugs at the same time. Not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of. I bought this to augment some of these timers that have a photo-eye in them. The problem with them is they work opposite of what I need (operation from daybreak to dusk - not dusk to dawn) I like a few things about this 1) seems well constructed - looks durable and should keep water off too. 2) has dual power outlets 3) has straight plug (I have a 90 degree plug below and could not use a 2nd) 4) was simply to configure the on/off settings. I don't have any gripes but I do have an idea for all of these vendors - create a photo eye that works from daybreak to dusk instead of all of them (seemingly) being dusk to dawn for lights and such. Sometimes you just need to use the KISS methodology. Keep it simple stupid. I use this on my 1.5HP pool pump to alternate powering on and off on 2 hour intervals vs running strictly at night or day to cut back on power usage. The mechanical timer works perfect. The digital timers would not allow for this configuration. All of the digital timers seemed to be a set time on and set time off but no ability to go intermittent. The adjustments on this timer allow for more control and flexibility the old fashioned way. ... show more

This heavy-duty outdoor timer has worked great for my camper lights. I can set the lights to automatically come on at dusk and turn off at dawn, which is very convenient and saves on electrical costs.
