If I could give it zero stars I would. I had more than enough power (1/2 inch drill) and all the bit would do is drill holes. I threw it in the trash. Thankfully it was only $10. I don't have the time to return.

Great tool for making small starter pieces.

While this tool is not big enough for splitting large logs. It works great to split up your pieces into smaller pieces. A little tough to hold onto the drill but manageable.

Great for making a hole and torquing your wrist, but that’s about it. Buy an ax or a hatchet instead.

Not as advertised
Size: 42mm
Will not work with a cordless drill. Electric drill still jams unless a very small (1/4 “) bite is taken. Even then, it takes several splits along a 14 inch piece of split firewood to gat a small piece of kindling. Save your money. No kind of time or effort saved.

Wood splitting drill bit for hammer drills
Size: 42mm
This is a conical pyramid bit that has steel and dramatic steps the bit is designed to fit a hammer drill. It fits my hammer drill perfectly. I was honestly skeptical at first but this bit works by working its way into the wood and separating it with enough forxe to make the log split. I've used it several times now and it's worked every time.
