Although it's far too soon to tell how it will ho,d up, It was just what I was looking for. I MAY but a piece of think wood to put at the top of it. The last cover I bought (which was actually a grill cover) was too heavy and the weight ended up pulling the splitting head through it.

This is a really great cover. Nice heavy duty material and good straps too. You put it on and your splitter is out of the weather till you need it and you don't have to worry about it blowing off. Really nice cover, much better than I expected!

This well made cover completely covered my Ariens 22 ton log splitter which is 7 feet long including the towing hitch. I like the way it goes right over the wheels to protect the tires from U/V damage. The straps and draw string work better than a tarp secured with "bungie "cords. I pull the pin out of my operating lever so it lays flat so as not to wear a hole in the cover.

Before purchasing this, I would cover my splitter with a tarp weighed down with some logs. That was easy and inexpensive, but in winter weather the tarp would often freeze to the ground... meaning I couldn't uncover and use my splitter. Not good! The straps and pull-cord on this help to adequately cover my 27-ton splitter, but keep the cover off of the ground. There's enough cover there that it could easily go all the way down to the ground if I wanted it to, but it can easily be secured up off the ground. I just tucked the sides between the wheels and the wheel covers to help keep things off the ground. I've only had it on for a few days, but it was very quick and easy to put on and it seems like it will be very durable.
