  • Seems like it will work great
Size: 5.5 Inch
I actually bought this for magnet fishing. I chiseled off the little spikes on the one side so that it was flat, and plan on using it to help separate metal objects from our large 1000 lb pull magnet in case it is too hard to pry them apart. Seems like it will work great, haven't had a chance to try it yet, but seems sturdy enough and should work great, don't see any reason it won't work and the price was right too! ... show more

  • Serves its specific purpose perfectly.
Size: 5.5 Inch
It’s funny reading other people’s reviews of these wedges... You guys understand that these are disposable, right? They’re soft, made to give, and not meant to last forever so you can save 5 bucks and hand them to your great grandson someday. If you pound the living crap out of these, they will warp and break. If you’re using these while bucking a tree (like me) and your chainsaw comes into contact with them (like mine did), the wedge will shred and go flying, but save your saw in the process. After I found my poor mangled wedge in the woods, I didn’t say (in Droopy Dog voice): “That wedge cost me five dollars”, but instead I said, “Thank God I wasn’t using a metal wedge.” Already ordered more. ... show more

  • Great Little Wedge
Size: 5.5 Inch
These wedges are really helpful when you need some extra control over the direction a tree will fall. I generally only break these out when dealing with a leaning tree in the opposite direction of the fall. They don't have a ton of height at the back so sometimes you will need to stack 2 to get the desired result. Overall for the price its worth having a few on hand. ... show more

  • good, but thin
Size: 5.5 Inch
these work very well, but they are very thin. aka, the wedge isnt thick enough on the thick end. requires numerous wedges to be stacked in order to get a lot of lift on my back cut. otherwise, they are built well and get the job done.

This has done as it is intended. Just don't rest it against the hot motor, as it will melt...just sayin'!

  • Wrong size
Size: 5.5 Inch
This may be a perfectly good felling wedge, but it is NOT the size indicated in the Amazon product description. It is packaged on a card with a "blister-pack" enclosing the wedge, and it is the total package that matches the size indicated by the product description. It is not uncommon for Amazon to list product sizes in this manner, but I didn't catch it this time. (I probably should have researched the Oregon product number, but that really shouldn't be necessary.) I purchased this yellow wedge along with another item, the "Timber Tuff TMB-05W 5 Inch Felling Wedge, Green, 2-Pack", assuming that I would receive a 2-pack of 5" green wedges (at $8.74) and one 9.2" yellow wedge (at $6.55). This Oregon wedge, aside from the color difference, looks virtually identical to the less expensive "Timber Tuff" wedges. The two different products look as if they came from the same mold, although the Oregon package lists "made in USA" and the other package lists "made in China). I don't think that $6.55 is a bad price for this item, and I do think that yellow is a more practical color for this product. Had I known that this is the same size and shape as the "Timber Tuff" wedges, I would have just purchased two of these Oregon wedges, because having the yellow color is worth the small price difference. My complaint is that this product does not match the product dimensions indicated by Amazon, so I am giving it only 3 stars. ... show more

  • It's a plastic wedge
Size: 5.5 Inch
Did this change my life? Am I emotionally centered better. Is my IQ higher, or my sound system playing better. To all those, NO. Is this a plastic wedge that works like a strong wedge of plastic should when cutting down trees.? Yes, and it works well. If you fell trees you need a wedge. This is much safer than a metal wedge in case of blade contact. This is the right size (I am sure different sized jobs may benefit from different size wedges, but I'm not a lumberjack) for the jobs I use, and it's light enough not to add to the carrying weight of my saw/stuff... ... show more
