I have small hands so the larger grip can sometimes hurt but I’d take stability over that:) they’re smooth and surprisingly light as well and are a good height for movements like pike holds and handstands

I started doing calisthenic recently, so this tool is a must for me to progress. This is my first pair of pushup bars, so I can't compare it to other brands for the quality. However, the price appears to be the most affordable. After a few uses, I must say it's very solid and well built which gives me a peace of mind when practicing difficult moves.

This is very nice Beech wood push bars set that feels great in your hands. This is because the rod/pole that goes between the two supporting pieces is wide. In the photo, you can see that it is wider than a metal set that I have owned for years. The height of these push-up bars is slightly less than a metal set, but the width of the hand grabbing rod is the most important. When pushing down and resting all your weight on your hands which are resting on and grabbing a rounded bar, the wider the better as that spreads your body weight over a greater surface area. If lifting and grabbing to pull up n a handle, narrow is better than wider because one gets a better grip with their whole palm and fingers. This set is nicely finished with a varnish. It looks good but more importantly is smooth to the touch. The set requires about 2 minutes of DIY work. You have 4 rubber foot pads that need to be attached by pressing the sticky surface of the pad on to the wood supports. If you place the two bars side by side, they look strange because one is several inches shorter than the other. I believe this is so that the two bars in the set, and nest closely to each other for shipping. The different in length is noticeable, but does not affect the function in any way. The set is very sturdy and I think it would support all body weights and last for years. I’m happy to replace my metal set.

These are exactly what you'd expect them to be. I've always had some trouble with my wrists when doing pushups and it's nice to have something I can wrap my hand around instead of putting my hand parallel with the floor. The dowel is pretty thick and gives your hand some surface area to grab onto so it's not digging into your palm and the base comes with some grip stickers that you have to attach yourself (which is easy enough). It's a stable base and also gives a little extra depth to the pushup, which is nice. Overall, good pushup stands if you like the price.

I like doing bodyweight exercises. Pushups and pullups provide an excellent upper body workout. As I get older, the challenge is maintaining a good range of motion and keeping some of the stress off my palms and wrists. These exercises work well for both. They are built very solid, and they sit flat on the floor. You won't experience the "rocky table" issue, where one side is taller or shorter than the other. They also provide stick-on tabs for the bottom to help improve the stability of the units so they don't slip out from underneath you. The handles are very thick, which I like. It gives them a strong and stable feel while distributing body weight over a larger surface. They also provide an extended range of movement by a few inches. Overall, these are excellent, well-made, solid tools to add to your workout equipment. With a modicum of care they should last for a long time.
