In general I'm always in search of good socks that provide excellent compression to the foot and ankle itself. Especially the ankles. My ankles now have been officially classified by the specialists in this condition and physical therapists that it's true lymphedema and they can not massage it out and it's there to stay. Only thing is following their instructions of always sizing up the socks and garments I believe has led to this worsening. So I'm trying to find my ideal sock and prefer ankle but knee high would be fine if the garment provides super support to the ankles specifically targeting them. These fell short of the mark. Maybe good for fresh injuries to foot and ankle conditions and swelling that should as the foot heals the swelling should subside too. Different injures different people may have different results of course. I'm so in need of ANKLE true ANKLE compression. I bought 3 pairs of these. In general I'd say they are decent enough but not super high end. I have high end 40 dollar and higher pairs of similar socks. They haven't provided the right support compression to the ankles either. Not sure why not. And yes I've tired the types you wrap around the ankle specific and back around the foot and even the super expensive velcro like gear but they all seem to fall short when it comes to true ankle compression. And there even with compression socks going from toes closed or open all the way up to and over the thighs it pools and forms solid in the ankles. ????? At 73 now when this condition started at age 42 it's an up hill battle. So the search goes on. Good news is often when I buy more than one to try in hopes...my PT loves my gifts of unopened new items to donate to dear souls who can't afford even less expensive compression garments like these. She gets high end on down to this price range. I try to remember not to open all packages and throw all into the washer in advance of trying them out first. That way she can use with out worries a new product. I'm off to search some more. I don't want to discourage people who need this and would benefit by this sock. In general it's OK and may be just what you and your situation needs but not for me and mine. (PS my condition was what they call a traumatic injury full body impact via a caving accident and have been told there is nothing anyone can do to correct it or cure it. It's all about maintaining as best one can.)

I use these socks as compressions socks during my busy season, when I'm sitting 18 hours a day. They did the job, were fairly comfy, and were pretty cute, too. My only complaint is that they should be about 2 inches taller or half an inch shorter. As is, they hit the part of the leg where the lower calf starts to widen, so the top band leaves a sharp indent while the calf swells above it. If the sock were just a tad shorter, it wouldn't hit the wider part of the calf. If the sock were a couple inches taller, it'd hit the calf muscle itself, rather than the tissue just below it, and the tissue above the top band wouldn't swell. If the top band were just a bit looser and the sock remained the same, that'd solve the issue, too. As info, I wear a US women's size 7-8 shoe and ordered the small-medium size sock.

Purple was my choice and it's a good vibrant one too! Good make so far and I think they'll serve me longer than most even with daily use because they're not quite as tight as my previous copperfit pair were. I attest that to my foot size being right in the cusp of the size choices (I went with large at a size 9 shoe wearer) so my poor left foot (stroke from a vaccine they said was safe) is still thin but better than skeletal as it once was. I'd buy both sizes if you are in that area of sizing and use the tighter smaller pair when you need the extra support and the looser when you don't. They clean easily (hand wash I've only done) and dry fast. Matter of fact I think I'll put the smaller size in my cart right now and roll the dice as to whether they'll be cheaper on this upcoming black Friday!

I used the measuring guide to determine the size I needed. Each measurement landed perfectly in the middle of the L/XL size. I tried them on when they arrived and found them to be too large to provide any compression unless I wear them over a thicker pair of socks. I do like the color (orange), it's nice and bright.

I had lapiplasty surgery a few weeks ago and I have a lot of swelling in my foot and ankle. I bought these on a whim, without measuring my foot and I decided to pick the S/M size which was risky but I wanted extra compression in that area. Surprisingly I was able to get this over my foot and ankle, and it is very comfy and seems to be helping out the swelling. So far so good, tight but that was expected and needed for the issue at hand. Overall nice. I feel compression in both the ankle material as well as the foot material. I might even purchase more if they hold up nicely

These provide good compression to my feet and ankles, while also maintaining a soft feel to the fabric. I don’t use them for plantar fasciitis so I can’t comment on that aspect. Good compression for a good price. The colors are pretty too. toe opening covers most of my toes, so the foot part is a bit long, I’m about a women’s 10 and only my big toe and the toes next to it peek out of the end, but it’s not a dealbreaker. I also got them in the bright orange and will probably be back for more colors in the future.
