This trench coat is incredibly well made for the price—the lining is flawless, the stitching is neat, and all the buttons are secure. Even the buttonholes are snug (which I prefer to loose ones). The material feels like it could be water-resistant, though I haven’t tested that theory yet. The overall fit is great and flattering, but the shoulders are oddly tight and restrict movement, which is disappointing for an otherwise perfect piece. The pockets are deep and functional, and I’ll still be keeping it because the quality is so good—but seriously, what’s with the shoulders? ... show more

This coat looked so nice in the Amazon listing, so I had high hopes. I normally wear a size small, but I sized up so that I would have room to wear a sweater or some sort of layers under it. It wasn’t enough! It is fine through the waist, but the shoulders and arms are so tight. One of my pics shows me raising my arm as far as I can. Just bending my arm is uncomfortable, and I’m wearing a short-sleeved shirt in the pics. I can’t imagine what it would be like with a bulky sweater on. The coat itself is well made with good stitching and nice material. But, besides the sizing, the belt is my other area of concern. First, I wish they had made the waist a little lower, as I don’t really want a belt not far below my bra (It is where you would want it if you were pregnant). Second, the belt is a little long for my taste. And, third, the belt does not stay cinched, even when tied as shown in the listing pics. It comes loose very easily, so you constantly have to be pulling it tight. My pics show the coat how it looks right out of the packaging, so please forgive the wrinkles. I have not washed it yet and would be hopeful that they will come out in the wash. I really wouldn’t want to have to iron a coat. This coat seems like it would only work on a very petite, narrow-shouldered person. For reference, I’m 5’7”, 123#, 34C, and I ordered a medium. ... show more
