My son works in a shipyard, he needed reinforced toe workboots. These were a not too expensive, fairly light option. The toe protector is composite, so these are light. They are comfortable, although after a few months of daily use they begin to show some wear.

Comfy boots once I'm able to put them on. The boots are difficult to get on like tongue of the boot has been sewn in too far. Otherwise, nice boots for the price.

I've been wearing these particular boots for about 10 years now, formerly wore Eccos. These are just as comfortable as the Eccos, and last longer. I typically get 2 years out of them and I am on my feet 8 hrs, a day, 6 days per week. Great boots, but use the conditioner when new to speed break-in. The can wearing your ankles raw the first few days.

These Wolverine Raiders do run big so unless you're wearing thick socks go down a size. The one problem I have with these boots (and every other 6" boot I've tried) is that it hurts my ankle. I hope they'll soften up around the ankle but in the mean time I put a rag around my ankle (scrap T-Shirt). I had a pair of Timberland Pros that were killing my feet to the point I could hardly stand. After two weeks in these boots my feet don't hurt at all anymore.
