When I’m in the field working in dew and/or water saturated ground cover, it starts to soak into the boots and then my socks. I gave a 5 because there is no 4.5 to choose. Still useable but soles are cracking from my gait (bad knees) and the leather is cracking due to my failure of leather maintenance. New pair arrived and seem just as well made as my last pair. Great boots, they are my daily go to... i love that they wont loose traction when the floor is wet, also really durable. So far is have bought like 4 or 5 pairs, and not a single one have ever felt apart, they are really durable and comfortable, also a great looking working boot, scuff resistance, and easy to break-in. Just be carefull with the size, i use size 12 for almost all my other shoes, but on these boots i use 11.5 so, that is something to consider ... show more

I bought 2 pair of these, one for my husband and one for my son. My son wears them as his every day work boot. They are easy to slip on and most importantly waterproof. My husband has a pair of these he paid double price for out our local boot store that have lasted 6+ years and counting. Durability and comfort are great, according to my guys. I bought these boots about a year ago. I love them! They are not waterproof so if you want that buy something else or put a heavy boot waterproof treatment on them when u get them and reapply it regularly.
