I'm a review reader and mostly buy based on reviews. This time I didn't and bought them anyways. It's now my second pair (non-steel toe) and I love them, the fit, break-in period and waterproof are excellent. Yes they are a little stiff getting on but once they're on, you're locked in. No heel slip even with a narrow foot. I live in Michigan, they keep my feet warm and the tread sheds the snow easily. A lot of the reviews say they're too tight to slip on. In my personal opinion, if you're looking for an easy slip on. Consider buying a pair of CROCS. Theses are great boots! ... show more

Good semi affordable pair. Quality leather but after wearing them for several months (I skip days to let them breath), they are not waterproof anymore. When I’m in the field working in dew and/or water saturated ground cover, it starts to soak into the boots and then my socks. I gave a 5 because there is no 4.5 to choose. Would be 5 if the were able to hold out another couple months. Other than that they are comfortable, it’s rough going back to my normal pair of boots. Size is small. Way too tight. I wear the insulated version of this boot, and have been for years. I got the same size in this one, and I can barely squeeze my foot into them. Compared to the insulated version, they are significantly smaller.
