They're good boots, but they're cheap and made in China. I have owned one previous pair. If you wear them actively in the winter, shoveling driveways and laying down salt, even with modest, regular cleaning they will eventually break down and start leaking. My last pair leaked through the soles of the boot. Nevertheless, they're predictable in their fit and function, and I would rather spend $69 on a pair of boots every 2-3 years than $450 on a pair of boots that maybe last 3-4 years or less. Salt is a real killer. Winter boots don't last forever. Sometimes cheap and dispensable is the way to go. ... show more

My hubby wears these boots every day. They are worn through all kinds of weather conditions. And he really really likes the durability. Also he put them on the first day and never had a bit of discomfort. I did buy a whole size up from his regular size. He wears work socks with these boots and so there is bulkiness. His last pair lasted 5 years. Yes, they are worn out. But they saw him through some heavy construction projects etc. He is not a sit on the sidelines type of guy. ... show more

I like them. They seem strong. I wish they were stronger. The waterproofing is pretty good. Haven't had any issues with that. I've been walking in these maybe every other day for about 6 months and this is the result. On the right hand boot there's a hole all the way through the bottom and on the left hand boot some of the rubber buttons are falling off on the bottom. The metal eyelets bent and tore in the first month. The laces tore in about 2 weeks and I already have replaced them with aramid cord which has been fantastic ever since. They say aramid cord is like kevlar, claimed to be six times stronger than steel, I am dubious of that but it is the strongest lace material I have ever used and therefore, good enough for now. The inside sole is basically a temporary thing until you replace it with some of those Dr Scholl's gel pads, or whatever your favorite in sole pad is. The steel toe seems... Fine I guess. I kind of would like it to be just extended 10% further but that's probably a my shoe size problem, not a brand problem. Size 12-13. There are ankle pads on both outsides that match up well with my bones so I have never had that issue where your ankle bones smashes into something that you feel like you should have just walked right by. I have already worn these boots several times and they are great. I normally wear a size 10 in men's shoes. However, I tried these boots on at a brick and mortar store and that size was too big. I tried the the size 9.5 and it fit just right. The boots have the right amount of stiffness and I walk confidently with them. They are water resistant, so if my foot touches a puddle, they don't get wet on the inside. I also don't slide while wearing these boots. The laces on these boots seem as though they will last a while. The boots are thick enough to give my feet padding as I walk about 5+ miles a day on concrete sidewalks. Easy to put on with a secure boot strap. Again, you may have to adjust your size before ordering to 1/2 size shorter than you normally wear. I do recommend purchasing these boots, it's a great value. ... show more
