It was a little difficult picking a paper shredder because we wanted a level 5 security with the smaller pieces of shredded paper and the descriptions of many others were level 4 but the paper piece size was level 5 so it was confusing. We could not be happier spending a little more, this one advertises a 60 minute run time and I didn't challenge that but I did run through a box of end of the year paper in 30 minutes without trouble. While I was doing that I challenged it with 10 sheets at a time and it stopped, 8 sheets and it stopped, 7 sheets and it stopped, 6 sheets was it's capability and I tried it a few times with standard weight paper to make sure. It is really quiet, what you'll hear is a little bit of motor noise but mostly paper crunching noise. The paper shreds are as small as we wanted and measure 2mm by 13mm. Overall size is great, not much bigger than the other strip shredder that it replaced and the bin begins to show shreds through the window at 80 sheets and is full around 150 to 160 sheets. ... show more

Problem: Old shredder overheated or bogged down after 10 or 15 minutes of continuous shredding. The Answer: WOLVERINE 10-Sheet Super Micro Cut High Security Level P-5! At time of purchase it was $242. You can shred continuously with large feeds of paper for over 30 minutes of run time and it just keep munching paper without pause. It does Not overheat or slow down. Overall a very reliable shredder with heavy use for last 2 1/2 years. A few cons: 10 sheet limit, but it is pretty quick so it's easy to just keep adding more blocks of 10 or to continuous feed it. The CD/Credit card shredder slot is pretty much useless, better off just running those through the main paper slot. Great Shredder! ... show more

This product seems pretty sturdy for the price and to have as a home shredder for occasional use. It’s very quiet and I love that the paper level is visible from the outside so that you know when to empty the bin. The opening for paper is somewhat snug - I’m wondering if that helps keep the paper feeding in straight? It shredded a plastic card well. I would get this shredder again. We have only had it a few months though, so I’m not sure how it holds up over time. ... show more

This shredder is sturdy, rolls easily, and there is no sound when the paper is actually shredding. I shredded at least three copier paper boxes worth, two or three sheets at a time and turned the machine off when not in use. My other shredder worked only when it wanted to. I have nothing bad to say about it working. It does. But this thing is super messy!! Static electricity attracts a bunch of the super small paper to the inside walls, outside of the catch tub. No fun either when trying to empty it. Besides pieces flying all over the place, a bunch of the shreds get caught up in nooks and crannies of the tub. Get your vacuum ready. Would have rather found one that cuts in strips. Much easier to discard. ... show more
