  • Flexible and lightweight
Color: Blue Size: 13.5FT
I've had an I frame ladder for a while now but I always missed having an A frame ladder as it allows me to use it without needing to place it against a wall or needing another person to hold it in place. I needed to change a light in our ceiling and needed a new ladder for that purpose. With this ladder I was able to easily do that, and also clean my fan while I was at it. This ladder easily expands to different heights, with four different heights you can set to. The block pegs hold the extension in place and the locking mechanism ensures the ladder doesn't split. This is a very flexible ladder which can even be turned into an I style ladder to use with a wall and for longer heights. This way I can have 2-ladders-in-1. It is lightweight enough to easily carry around the house, but it also comes with wheels if you want to simple drag it around. The ladder came pretty much fully assembled, except for the wheels which are very easy to install with the included screws. A couple of things I wish could be better on this ladder: - While the extending mechanism is easy to use, I wish it was even simpler with a single click instead of having to take 4 pegs out and back in. - If you open the ladder and now want to set it to a lesser open width, you have to first close it completely and then re-open it. None of these are issues, just inconveniences. The ladder itself works perfectly. ... show more

  • Headline - Old guy excited about ladder
Color: Blue Size: 17FT
First off; much better than I initially expected. This ladder is very sturdy and yet, relatively lightweight. Right off, I’ll say that this is a great ladder so far, especially at the current cost. I definitely recommend it. See below if you’d like a few more details. When I first opened the shipping box of this ladder, the first thing I noticed was just how narrow it is. I really was skeptical about putting my big size 13-US feet on this and be able to stand comfortably, but it works out fine. It does feel weird when compared to every other ladder I’ve ever used but I adjust just fine. Plus, it’s only a 17 footer and is only being used around the house for general purposes. Standing on this thing for the majority of the day, everyday, would absolutely kill my feet (and back) because there is absolutely no room to even slightly spread your feet. This ladder isn’t a job site kind of ladder though (accept maybe for narrow access special circumstances) and I won’t be counting off for this specific reason. Now, maybe you’re wondering about whether it’s steady, being narrower and all, from side to side. It’s not a problem when working on hard, mostly level ground, and isn’t a major concern for me until I reach a certain height. This is fine though, because it comes with a wider cross piece that installs at the base quite easily and gives a wider stance than most ladders if needed. I just leave it on as it doesn’t really cause any issues. The locking mechanism is sturdy. The lever system is much easier to use than the twist-lock style of the other ladder I’d been using and is so nice in comparison. This ladder also has an extra lock position that my other is lacking. It can lock in a 90° orientation, in that if one of the two sections is vertical, the other section can lock in a horizontal orientation. If you were to visualize it as the ladder forming the top and side of a square, it’d be the easiest way to describe this. I can’t imagine myself being brave enough to experiment with a scenario that utilizes this particular option, but still it’s nice to have the option. The last thing is the inclusion of casters that install in just a few minutes and makes moving the ladder even easier than its already lightweight frame allows. This little gesture is not lost on me in the slightest. I store this ladder where it needs to be moved quite often and these two little casters save a lot of effort for me and occasionally, the wife. My 40-something year old, out of shape body surely appreciates it. Before I forget, I’d like to ask you how one can tell when oneself is getting old and maybe even boring? Being this excited about a stupid ladder! Yes. Yep! I am excited about this ladder and so, there ya go.Take it as my recommendation, so long as you don’t mind, nay, actually embrace its narrow frame! ... show more

  • Pre-drilled holes need cleaned up, Rungs are thin when extended
Color: Blue Size: 17FT
1-7-23 I watched the video in the listing which was the selling point for me. But let me tell you placing the nuts bolts and wing nuts to secure the wheels and the stabilizer bar on is not nearly as easy as depicted in the video. First off, the pre-drilled holes are not clean so expect to be spending some time cleaning those up, redrilling them, or just dealing with trying to get the bolts through. Second two of the pre-drilled holes were too close to the outside edges making it so the head of the bolt would not clear the inner rubbery plastic feet. I ended up using vise grips to push the heads of the bolts into the rubbery plastic giving them enough length that I could get the wing nuts on. It doesn't come with any written assembly instructions, so you'll be left to watching the video for assembly or reading the printed user only instructions on the sides of the ladder. Assembly is not hard to figure out , although take note of the direction the wheel brackets need to be. I shared a photo for the wheel orientation. You'll also need 10 mm wrenches. You'll definitely want to be wearing good shoes or boots with a steel shank, otherwise the rungs will hurt your feet. The rungs are doubled up when it's not extended, (roughly the same size of any A-frame ladder), making it fairly comfortable in any good structured shoe. Although once you extend it, they become single rungs which are quite thin and uncomfortable in any shoe other than ones with steel shanks. They definitely aren't something you want to be standing on for any length of time while working on a project with the wrong shoes on. The stabilizer bar definitely makes it stable, more so than any other A frame ladder we have. Granted I won't be going any higher than the fourth rung due to my fear of heights and vertigo. But I needed a 17 ft ladder to reach our 15 ft steel awnings when the wind wreeks havoc on them. This can be adjusted roughly every 10 in which is every rung. So theoretically in the A frame setup, you can extend one side of the legs further down than the other and can be used on stairs. I really like having the ball bearing wheels. It makes it much easier to tote longer distances. I found it easier to maneuver through doorways etc, by removing the stabilizer bar. This stabilizer bar can be stowed between the rungs in the folded position. (see my photos for reference) They made the stabilizer bar secured with wing nuts making it fairly easy to remove, I'll be changing those out to some type of quick release pins. Which I think should be on the manufacturers improvement list. Also this will not stand upright on its own with the stabilizer bar on, you'll have to lean it against a wall, but willl stand on its own with it removed. It's a good all around multi-purpose ladder, that I could see being extremely helpful in an RV that has massive basement storage. It takes up much less space for any other type of ladder I have/had which can be configured as an A-frame or extension without being one of those telescoping type, which I just don't trust completely, since all the joints or locking mechanisms are made of plastic. It is the first ladder I'll grab for higher applications that I'm comfortable with, due to its size and easy maneuverability. But definitely not something I'll use in lieu of a three-step ladder. With a few improvements hopefully on the manufacturing end and not the user end It's a good ladder for household use, but I wouldn't consider this a professional use ladder. Hopefully my written and photo reviews are helpful, Thank you! ... show more

  • Easy to lock in place and use.
Color: Red Size: 17FT
THis ladder is easy to lock in place and use. While heavy, I find that to be a good thing, since it means it wobbles less.
