This is definitely not a toy. It’s a top microscope. I got it for my teenage son and he freaked out when he saw it. He jumped on me and almost squeezed me to death. He is a science geek. He was like this will last me all the way to college. He downloaded the app and was in geek heaven. The first thing he did was take a drop of blood from all of us to see if they are all the same. The view on this is amazing and I don’t understand most of what he was showing me. Things I saw crawling around on the slide. I told him don’t show me anymore. It comes with a bunch of slides, extra lenses and a cord so you can hook it to your computer, also one for your phone. And there is a carrying case to fit it all in. ... show more

This is a beefy microscope. It works well it’s a great value and it’s easy to use as a regular microscope. It takes a little time to get used to using it via either Bluetooth on your phone or connecting it to your computer. It is a great value, and it is well-made.
