They are crystal clear. They warn you they may break in shipping but mine did not. The packaging seems good enough that as long as someone doesn't throw it - it should be good. I am using them for educational purposes with a compound microscope. They work perfectly for this purpose.

Yes, I randomly checked 4 slides and they are fine. I'm a 76 year old person alone, who just bought a microscope with interest in examining my own skin cells. I am prone to several conditions that testing of which would cost me a ton in co-pays, even with Social Security. Plus I think it will be fun. ... show more

I ordered for the slide covers, which all appear to be in excellent condition. Some tiny imperfections and bubbles seen in the glass under the scope but for the price it's not enough to be a huge bother. Some of the slides are chipped on the edges but none of mine were delivered completely broken. I found this surprising as they were shipped in a plastic envelope with little padding and the slides come in a flimsy cardboard box. But on the up side, the covers came in a hard plastic container and it was all vacuum sealed in plastic to prevent the slides from vibrating against each other during transit. All in all, I'll likely be back for more when I need them ... show more
