As described, works well, and is easy to setup and use. The camera recording and screen capture feature also works well, you just need to install the app on your PC or cell phone.

    • Microscope works great but don't bother with the eyepiece camera
I needed a microscope to do at home field work and send my instructor images of what I am seeing in the microscope. Unfortunately the software/ eyepiece didn't talk to each other so it was useless. To prevent getting a zero for my assignments I rigged up my iPhone through the eyepiece to capture images. Not ideal but at least I got credit for the assignment. Really well made. Easy to focus. Several different power lenses. Have not hooked up to computer yet but the quality of all the parts are well made. Metal base, not plastic. Bought for our 10 year old son who showed interest and it's worked perfect for that without breaking the bank.

Incredibly disappointed that upon opening the SW150 from Swift that the microscope is DOA. The lights flickered on one sec then turned off. When I pulled the bulb out and replaced it, I was able to get a dim light that also flickered out. This was a Christmas Gift, so it was incredibly disappointing to open it and use it, only to find it doesn't work. I contacted Custome Support at Swift, but being that it is Christmas Day, I understand I won't hear anything. Hopefully, tomorrow I will get a response. This is definitely off to a bad start.
