As I have recently downsized to an apartment, I knew the ladder would also be visible, so appearance was also a factor. After much searching, I settled on this ladder in the gold tone. This is a very stylish latter. It’s in gold and it’s very classy. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a ladder like this. I was going to keep it for utilitarian purposes, but now I think I’m going to mounted on the wall and put it on display! Modern art!

This ladder folds to about 2-3” and is perfect to fit behind a door. Handy for changing lightbulbs or reaching things stored high. Very lightweight and sturdy. And handsome to boot!

Some of the things that stood out: + Wide steps are definitely a plus + Folds flat into a narrow, easy-to-store dimension + Excellent customer service + Annodized aluminum finish The steps are a real plus -- making it easier to ascend, and turn once in place. Because of the way the steps are constructed, it's better to ascend a little bit more slowly to allow the stability to adjust on upper steps. At 5'4" I can easily reach into a 9 ft ceiling to replace bulbs by standing on only the 3rd step -- or better, the 4th. Would classify this as more of a household ladder, vs a primary one for a job site. I also have a similar, smaller ladder like this and thought to try this one. It's not the least expensive but the steps, and being easy to store, were worth the few extra $s.

The safety Bar at the top of the ladder is too short. From the 5th step, I had to bend over to hold on to it. The 6th step was out of the question. Also the steps just fit two feet. With your feet so close together, it is hard to balance your self

I needed a nice ladder for inside my apartment to get things in and out of an attic cubby. It blends in lovely and is very lightweight. But it’s a bit rickety. I’m light and nibble so I can climb up and down alright but it would make me nervous to put someone else on it. At last not to the top without extra support. For the price I probably would not buy it again… but I’m ok with keeping it for now.
