I’ve used coil machines in the past and was curious about the rotary kind so I bought this one. And I’m floored the quality lining I got from such an inexpensive machine. The thickness of the grip on the rotary needs a bit of getting used to but after that…. Love it!! I haven’t used the ink that came with it so I can’t comment on that but with my high quality ink.. this thing is great. I was doing some ink off and on for a few hours and still have over half battery. It’s a very sturdy machine. If you’re an amateur, this machine is a VERY good jumping off point. I just started to learn tattooing 2 weeks ago. I purchased the traditional coil machines first but within a couple days I purchased this machine because the set up and tear down time seemed so much faster. Since I am only tattooing fake skin, I don't have to worry about biological fluids and therefore use the needles until they are dull. The time it takes to set up the traditional machines and clean the needles at the end takes a really long time when compared to this machine. This machine is also so much quieter and easier to adjust the needle depth. My lines and shading techniques increased significantly with this K.O.D. I am loving it. I don't really need a 2nd battery as I don't do marathon sessions but I do wish that the single battery kit came with the RCA adapter so I could use my foot pedal or that they at least sold the adapter independently because now, if I want to get the RCA cable and adapter I must purchase the other kit for that 1 item. So I'm knocking off 1 star for that reason. Over all I am pleased with this purchase and It is well built so I highly recommend this machine to anyone wanting good quality but doesn't want to spend several hundred dollars. ... show more

So far the machine is really good for its value. I can tattoo for several hours straight without losing power. I can also pause the machine with one simple click to the on/off button without turning it completely off. It has several speeds, and fits with all standard cartridges. The inks and the fake skin are terrible. I honestly think it's a waste of money to order the whole kit. You'll be better off getting only the machine and ordering some good quality ink and skin somewhere else. Might end up being more expensive but you won't regret the investment. ... show more
