This kit includes everything you need to set up a wireless solar powered backup camera Includes a good product manual and link to a good tutorial video. The camera can be set up and be operational in a very short time. Solar wireless cameras can save you hours of installation and eliminate the need to drill holes in your camper. This system can be operational in minutes. Due to the ease in setting up the system, it could even be moved and used inside the camper to monitor outside. The camera can also be moved and used to view trailer hitch when hooking up to your camper The camera has a very strong magnet and is heavy and should be very stable. Up to four Rohent solar cameras can be used with this system. Since it’s cold and snowing, I set this camera up in my home office to test and get familiar with it. I then took the camera and monitor outside and tested with our truck. See pictures and video.

Out of the box you can tell this is a quality camera system. The camera comes with all the accessories you will need. The quality of the picture is outstanding. I have had multiple camera from this company over the past 5 years and all are still working fine. I really can't believe the distance you can get between the camera and monitor, I don't know what frequency they are using but it works outstandingly well! Menu system is pretty intuitive if you have ever used a dash cam or similar backup camera. I wish they had the button functions printed on the front right side of the camera as most people won't try to adjust the camera on a frequent basis and will have to look on the side of the camera or the user manual for the function of each button. All this and a two-year warranty, what more can you ask for!

The media could not be loaded. PROS - It comes with a manual that actually explains how to use the functions and navigate the menus - Picture is clear enough for use - Very easy to setup. Required no pairing. Really 'plug n play'. - Uses compression to maintain smaller file sizes. Thus, if there is no activity, each file is less than 500 KB - Recorded videos are stored in folders representing each day, which makes getting to a particular day's recording easy. - Successfully tested with a 256GB microSD card - You can set the width, height, and centering of the static backup lines. ("static" in that they don't curve as you turn because there is no connection/communication with your vehicle's steering wheel.) - Magnetic base for camera is very sturdy and I had no concerns about it moving. I'm guessing it uses something along the lines of neodymium magnets. - Magnetic base has a silicone bottom to mitigate scratching the mating surface CONS - Video recordings are 1 minute each. - Videos are only 720p, not 1080p. (Confirmed with the seller.) - Videos do not have a timestamp on them, so the only way to know what/when you're looking at requires looking at metadata on the file itself. - Video compression is basic. Thus, recordings with a lot of motion are going to incur video artifacts (blockiness). But it's not terrible, just noticeable. GENERAL / OVERALL - This isn't meant to be a security camera, so I'm not going to go too hard on the resulting artifacts due to video compression or how the saved videos don't have timestamps on them. - Videos are saved as AVI files. - In order to upload the video for this review, I had to convert it first from AVI to MP4. So there was some quality loss there. And then Amazon is probably going to compress it again. So know that the video shown in this review is lesser quality than what you actually get from the camera. - For this review, I didn't have my trailer handy, so I simply mounted to the top of my Tahoe and drove around. I have no concern that the signal won't reach another 20 feet to the back of my trailer. - When I ordered this unit, it was priced at $139.99. At the time of this review, it's $109.99. At the lower price, it certainly makes it more attractive, placing it just above the cheapest comparable units (as suggested by Amazon). At the original price, you'll want to be a little bit more diligent in your shopping if you're truly hoping to find the "best bang for the buck". I'm still giving it 4-stars based on its higher price. And because when I reached out to customer service, they were prompt in their reply (within 48 hours, if I recall correctly).

I have an older model (2003) truck that I use strictly as a tow vehicle for my little teardrop trailer and this camera works great and is easy to use. When I am backing in to my campsite, I mount the camera on the back of the trailer bumper and when I’m ready to leave and need to hook up, I simply move it to the bumper of my truck so I can line up with the hitch very easily.

I absolutely love this camera. Once I had the solar camera mounted, I mounted the monitor to my windshield with the suction mount. When I turned it on I instantly had a picture! The clarity is amazing. I highly recommend this camera and it's currently on sale...buy one!
