  • Works great
Style: A 1 Receiver+1 Sensors
I’ve been using the Wireless Motion Sensor LED Light - Motion Detector Alarm Chimes Door Sensor in my retail store and it’s been really helpful. The range is impressive, and it gives me a heads-up anytime someone walks in or moves through certain areas. Setup was simple and didn’t require any complicated wiring. The LED light and chime are a nice touch, especially in a busy environment where you might not always hear the door open. I could also see this working well for a small business, office, or even a garage setup at home. Overall, a solid inexpensive way to add a little extra awareness and security. ... show more

  • Works VERY well.
Style: A 1 Receiver+2 Sensors
FIRST! I want to warn you. THIS PRODUCT WORKS! Maybe a little too well. If you don't want a device to warn you constantly, don't get this device. It alerts you of anything that moves in it's detection area. I even get signals when a bird fly thru. It works very very well. It's perfect for what I needed and IT DOES have a on/off switch. You can select softer tones also. It IS NOT water resistant however. Units must be protected from the elements to prevent them from shorting from moisture/rain. ... show more

  • Good at close range
Style: A 1 Receiver+3 Sensors
Works okay at close range. Seems that a lot of the false alarm complaints are related to the optimistic detection distance advertised

  • Works exactly how it's supposed to, very versatile, is exactly what I wanted.
Style: A 1 Receiver+1 Sensors
I usually don't write many reviews but since I was offered an incentive to write one for this item I took the opportunity to do so. Even so, this item is exactly what I was looking for to use on my front porch to alert me to packages being delivered and ppl approaching my door. I don't have a window or any other way to see easily onto my porch unless I actually walk to the door and use the peephole, and even then I can't see the area closest to my door where small packages can go undetected for hours. What I really like about this motion sensor chime is its adaptability. It has 5 volume levels including completely silent mode w just the flashing blue leds on the front of the plug-in receiver speaker unit. (I don't think those flashing leds can be turned off but they aren't so bright as to be an annoyance at night, and only flash briefly. A widely appealing feature is the 58 varying sounds that this unit offers simply by scrolling thru them using 2 buttons on side of the speaker receiver. From simple chirps and chimes to intricate songs and melodies there's more than enough variety to accommodate most needs. *U do have to hold down the volume button also located on the side for a few seconds until u hear a ding and the LEDs flash to lock in your preferred selection tho. Otherwise the default sound will remain unchanged. The motion sensor part of the unit is set to flash a few times when it's activated but can be adjusted to not light up if so desired. The sensing capability can also be changed from every couple of seconds to every 5+ seconds so that it doesn't continuously get reactivated when detecting movement. Both of these settings are controlled by 2 switches inside so the 2 screws on the back need to be removed to open and change the default settings, thus the included small screwdriver. Not a big deal but, the size of the switches and whole inside area in general is very tiny and intricate so a magnifying glass or use of a phone camera would help. Also the 2 AAA batteries included are already installed in the sensor unit, there's an on/off switch on the side, as well as a Micro USB input if u want to plug the unit in and not have to use batteries. Unfortunately for me there is no plug outlet anywhere near where I have this placed on my porch, so batteries it is. *Instructions indicate that USB cable will not act as a charger to any installed batteries. The swivel base can be mounted wherever u want using the 2 included mounting screws, and the sensor unit can be tilted and turned however needed. The receiver unit w the speaker plugs into a regular AC outlet wherever u need to hear the chime alert. I can keep the volume low enough that it's not an annoyance when activated, or loud enough that I can hear it upstairs, or even take the speaker upstairs and plug it in. Lastly, the unit is not weatherproof by any means so do not place it anywhere that it can get wet. All in all, after searching thru many different motion detector alert units and settling on this one, I am pleased w its performance and overall user adjustability. It completely meets my needs, it's small enough to be unassuming and can be placed almost anywhere. Hey, whadda you know, there's the chirp alert going off now as I write this review. Seems I just got a small package delivered I wouldnt've otherwise known about until leaving the house later 2day, excellent. I've had no problems or issues I've encountered yet w this item I'll have to see about it's durability and how long it will continue to function without defect. *Will update if it stops working unexpectedly or malfunctions in any way. Very happy w my purchase so far. Update: Motion detector has been in use for about a month now and I've noticed some false alerts in the afternoon that I think are from shadows cast on my porch of foliage moving in the wind. Not a big deal, not much can be done about shadows, and I need the detection area to be where it is, that's the area I need motion to be detected. Still functioning properly, no other issues yet. ... show more

  • This motion sensor/alarm works! This motion sensor/alarm works!
Style: A 1 Receiver+1 Sensors
We've had a rash of thieves driving up from Miami to steal from our boats. I keep my boat at the house and the rats have even been known to quietly kayak their way in the darkness of night to their targets. They are stealing everything from fishing gear, expensive electronics, and even motor parts while boats sit in the water. Though I haven't been a victim, I do everything I can to prevent these vermin from completing their devious task. I came across this little device accidentally and, after reading about it, thought I would give it a try. Well, let's just say that I am shocked at the range, the motion sensor and effectiveness, and how easy it is to set up. As is common in South Florida, my house is made of concrete block. I was concerned that, like a TV antenna, the receiver would not even get a signal. I simply turned the transmitter to the on position, and plugged in the receiver, and they were already paired and ready to go. Ignore all the comments about how hard it is and that it doesn't work... that must be user error. After some side by side testing, I started to move them further and further apart. I started with just on the other side of the exterior wall and it worked! I tested it by calling with my wife's phone next to the alarm so I could here it trigger while I was outside on the boat. To make a long story short, I even tried the furthest distance through the house to the boat and the unit still operates flawlessly. I've had no false alarms, and the tested distance through concrete block, multiple interior walls, and a saltwater environment is approximately 85 feet. Though it doesn't take up much room (about the size of a bar of soap) and comes with mounting hardware, I simply set the transmitter on the floor at the helm and it silently awaits to notify me of anyone on the boat. This handy little unit can be used anywhere you'd want to get notified of someone tampering with your stuff. Mount one at your back gate, mount one on your mailbox post aimed at your driveway, mount one outside your kids window. There is a multitude of wireless uses for this little gadget. I've got a family member who lives in a condo and keeps his nice motorcycle under cover in an open carport. You could simply place one of these under the cover and it would notify him of anyone tampering with the motorcycle cover. Do you ever stay at an Airbnb or VRBO unit and want to bring your own mobile security? Place this unit on the ground in front of the door when you go to sleep and be notified instantly if someone opens that door while you are upstairs sleeping. It's brilliant and will make a great Christmas gift. Stop second guessing yourself and order this thieving rat repelling security device now. ... show more

  • I use it for a silent car alarm.
Style: A 1 Receiver+1 Sensors
I live in a high rise apartment building (5th floor). My 14 year old KIA gets parked in various spots in the parking lot visible from my apt. My car has no alarm system but does have automatic door locks and a PANIC button on the key fob. This product rings the receiver unit in my apartment. When I hear it I look out my window and if I see anybody near the car I can press the panic button and scare them away. Yes, I get false alarms, mainly in the daytime but it's easy to adjust the volume on the receiver to just have the flashing lights. Also, I set the switches so the motion sensor doesn't light up when it detects motion, saving AAA battery power. I plan to experiment to find a place inside the car where it only detects when somebody gets inside. UPDATE: I found that my false alarms were mostly caused by the remote temp sensor for my digital thermometer. It transmits at the same frequency (433 mhz or close to it) every 30 seconds and causes the receiver to activate. There are other appliances that transmit on this frequency (i.e baby monitors, tire pressure monitors) so be aware. UPDATE TO UPDATE: I was still in the learning curve when I discovered the frequency anomaly. What had actually happened is as I was experimenting I just by happenstance long pressed the speaker button to do a pairing just as the remote temp sensor sent out its every 30-second packet and the receiver accepted it as a second motion detector sending out IT'S packet after being waved at. So an honest to goodness FLUKE! But make sure not to try to pair when there are remote temp sensors operating nearby. ... show more

  • False alarms
Style: A 1 Receiver+1 Sensors
As a homeowner constantly seeking ways to enhance security and convenience, I was intrigued by the promise of the Wireless Motion Sensor LED Light - Motion Detector Alarm Chimes Door Sensor. However, after purchasing and installing this product, my excitement quickly turned into frustration and disappointment due to its incessant false alarms. Let me preface this review by saying that I followed the installation instructions meticulously and had high hopes for the performance of this motion sensor. However, those hopes were shattered almost immediately after powering it on. Instead of providing peace of mind and security, the device bombarded me with false alarms at an alarming rate. One of the most infuriating aspects of this motion sensor is its complete lack of reliability. Despite claiming to have a range of 500 feet, it seemed to detect motion even when there was none present. Whether it was a gust of wind, a passing shadow, or simply a glitch in the system, the sensor would trigger the alarm without fail. This not only led to countless unnecessary interruptions but also eroded any trust I had in the device to accurately detect genuine threats. Moreover, the frequency of false alarms rendered the motion sensor practically useless as a security measure. Instead of alerting me to potential intruders or suspicious activity, it became nothing more than a nuisance, disrupting my daily routine and causing unnecessary stress and anxiety. In addition to its unreliable performance, the build quality of the device leaves much to be desired. The plastic housing feels cheap and flimsy, and I have serious doubts about its durability over the long term. Considering the premium price tag attached to this product, I expected a higher level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Overall, my experience with the Wireless Motion Sensor LED Light - Motion Detector Alarm Chimes Door Sensor has been overwhelmingly negative. It has failed to deliver on its promises of security and convenience, instead proving to be a constant source of frustration and disappointment. I cannot in good conscience recommend this product to anyone seeking a reliable motion sensor for their home or business. ... show more
