We've had a rash of thieves driving up from Miami to steal from our boats. I keep my boat at the house and the rats have even been known to quietly kayak their way in the darkness of night to their targets. They are stealing everything from fishing gear, expensive electronics, and even motor parts while boats sit in the water. Though I haven't been a victim, I do everything I can to prevent these vermin from completing their devious task. I came across this little device accidentally and, after reading about it, thought I would give it a try. Well, let's just say that I am shocked at the range, the motion sensor and effectiveness, and how easy it is to set up. As is common in South Florida, my house is made of concrete block. I was concerned that, like a TV antenna, the receiver would not even get a signal. I simply turned the transmitter to the on position, and plugged in the receiver, and they were already paired and ready to go. Ignore all the comments about how hard it is and that it doesn't work... that must be user error. After some side by side testing, I started to move them further and further apart. I started with just on the other side of the exterior wall and it worked! I tested it by calling with my wife's phone next to the alarm so I could here it trigger while I was outside on the boat. To make a long story short, I even tried the furthest distance through the house to the boat and the unit still operates flawlessly. I've had no false alarms, and the tested distance through concrete block, multiple interior walls, and a saltwater environment is approximately 85 feet. Though it doesn't take up much room (about the size of a bar of soap) and comes with mounting hardware, I simply set the transmitter on the floor at the helm and it silently awaits to notify me of anyone on the boat. This handy little unit can be used anywhere you'd want to get notified of someone tampering with your stuff. Mount one at your back gate, mount one on your mailbox post aimed at your driveway, mount one outside your kids window. There is a multitude of wireless uses for this little gadget. I've got a family member who lives in a condo and keeps his nice motorcycle under cover in an open carport. You could simply place one of these under the cover and it would notify him of anyone tampering with the motorcycle cover. Do you ever stay at an Airbnb or VRBO unit and want to bring your own mobile security? Place this unit on the ground in front of the door when you go to sleep and be notified instantly if someone opens that door while you are upstairs sleeping. It's brilliant and will make a great Christmas gift. Stop second guessing yourself and order this thieving rat repelling security device now.

Lasted 2 years , purchased for my wife's salon / store in a mall , went off constantly with all the foot traffic, worked great for 2 years . Only had to replace the batteries once , sensors were very dependable, plenty loud enough, actually have volume up only halfway , after 2 years you had to be within a couple feet of the sensors so we ordered another one for $20 . Great deal for 2 years of dependable use .

Can't change the chime tone. No matter what chime you set, it will only play the default tone at. It does accurately detect motion as it's supposed to, though. Update: I figured out how to actually change the tone. Once you find the tone you want, for some reason you have to hold the VOLUME button for several seconds until it flashes and beeps and that will confirm the tone change. Didn't see anything about that in any instructions. But hey, it works now.

Ok, i changed my rating because the vendor was good enough to refund my purchase even though i did not return it. For that, they get 4 stars for excellent customer service.-------------When I got these, they worked good. plugged them both in and worked great for 6 weeks. but then these two units at the same time failed. The two doorbell button units appear ok, but when pressed there is no response from the two door chimes. pressing the buttons on the door chimes illicits a chime, but not from the push buttons. I'm amazed and really disappointed that both chime units failed at the same time.

As a homeowner constantly seeking ways to enhance security and convenience, I was intrigued by the promise of the Wireless Motion Sensor LED Light - Motion Detector Alarm Chimes Door Sensor. However, after purchasing and installing this product, my excitement quickly turned into frustration and disappointment due to its incessant false alarms. Let me preface this review by saying that I followed the installation instructions meticulously and had high hopes for the performance of this motion sensor. However, those hopes were shattered almost immediately after powering it on. Instead of providing peace of mind and security, the device bombarded me with false alarms at an alarming rate. One of the most infuriating aspects of this motion sensor is its complete lack of reliability. Despite claiming to have a range of 500 feet, it seemed to detect motion even when there was none present. Whether it was a gust of wind, a passing shadow, or simply a glitch in the system, the sensor would trigger the alarm without fail. This not only led to countless unnecessary interruptions but also eroded any trust I had in the device to accurately detect genuine threats. Moreover, the frequency of false alarms rendered the motion sensor practically useless as a security measure. Instead of alerting me to potential intruders or suspicious activity, it became nothing more than a nuisance, disrupting my daily routine and causing unnecessary stress and anxiety. In addition to its unreliable performance, the build quality of the device leaves much to be desired. The plastic housing feels cheap and flimsy, and I have serious doubts about its durability over the long term. Considering the premium price tag attached to this product, I expected a higher level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Overall, my experience with the Wireless Motion Sensor LED Light - Motion Detector Alarm Chimes Door Sensor has been overwhelmingly negative. It has failed to deliver on its promises of security and convenience, instead proving to be a constant source of frustration and disappointment. I cannot in good conscience recommend this product to anyone seeking a reliable motion sensor for their home or business.
