Camera works well but it doesn’t charge from the solar panel so I have to connect it to a power bank to charge it when it needs to be charged. I’ll just deal with it since it’s easier than a running a wire through the truck.

i got a used one of these because i didnt know how good there where and didnt wanna spend $80+ on a backup camera i dont know i how good it is. i have to say im not dissapointed, never disconnects, ok visual quality, camera easy setup and the battery on this thing lasts a very long time. i tested the battery in my apartment just keeping it on until it died and it lasted 3 whole days without dieing on me. keep in mind that it was in night mode because i never turned on the lights and it didnt get solar charge from the sun. basically what im trying to say is as long as this thing is in the sun wherever you park it, this thing will basically never die. there are a few gripes i have with it though. 1 is the suction mount that holds the screen is HORRIBLE, its so bad infact that i 3d printed a new mount for it, screwed magnets to the new mount and just stick it on one of those magsafe car phone mounts that attaches to the vents. 2 why is the memory card no midro sd or sd, it uses a weird card that i cant remember that name of during this review, i just know it doesnt support the standard for most of these backup cameras. doesnt effect me much because im gonna be installing a dash cam with its own backup camera for the back windshield so i dont need this to record, but just keep that in mind. 3 you can really only install this camera one way and thats below the license plate. if you dont do that you have to install it infront of the license plate if you intall it at the top. i think its not that big of a deal because it being lower makes it VERY easy to see exactly where your parking with the lines on the road and stuff. overall a very awesome camera, just wish it was a bit cheaper because you can buy higher quality ones for only $10 more when its not on sale and there are a few big issues like it not supporting sd cards and the phone mount being garbage. 4/5 will recommend if the problems arent that big of a deal to you, i just recommend getting it on sale.

What I searched for was a "Monitor"- type camera to RECORD. The first back-up camera I purchase I had to return - it was also a nice product and I would have given it 5 stars also - BUT IT DIDN"T RECORD. THIS BACK-UP CAMERA RECORDS! Very pleased with such easy install - and comes with cable/wire OPTIONS for USB charge or connecting to your vehicle's power.
