Being portable, this device is extremely versatile. This unit allows me to affectively cool a room that was added on without an air conditioning duct. It is extremely quiet and produces only 50 DB. The dimensions are 34.8 inches high, 5.1 inches wide and 6.1 inches deep. It was extremely easy to assemble just by clipping the two bass halves together, attaching it to the bottom and securing with the removed anchor ring. The top of the unit contains touch controls for all the operational features. There is also a remote to perform all of these procedures. Included is ice packs, that you can fill with water and put in your freezer. You can place one of these frozen ice packs in the water, to increase the cooling effect. The water tank at the base of this unit has a line for the maximum fill level. I’m only going to use reverse osmosis water in this unit to protect it from mineral damage. With three speeds to choose from, I can have just the right amount of cooling. ... show more

I wasn't sure what to think of this evaporative air cooler. We opened the box and read Instructions. The unit is about 2 feet tall and comes on wheels. It works by using ice packs to blow out cold air. It can also be used as a humidifier without the ice packs. My son, who is always hot, is very pleased with this machine. He uses it at night because he sleeps hot. The machine is decently loud, but the cooling benefits are worth the noise. Freeze the ice packs and insert into one of 2 places on the machine. Add water in the water compartments and your ready to use the machine. The cool blows out fiercely and is very cool. That being said it hasn't gotten above 80 yet. Well see how cool the air in when its 100 degrees with 80% humidity, here in the Southern USA the heat/humidity is no joke. I will again when it gets hotter. ... show more
