Instructions are clear and comes with all the tools needed (except for the water and soap). If it’s a larger area you are tinting, it is probably best to have four hands - two people. The film itself, having nothing else to compare it to, felt like it was quality. The right thickness yet flimsy enough to get it on and smooth out. I also think the level of tint I chose provided a perfect tone to the window. Installation was tough. I followed the instructions as best I could but wasn’t able to get a bubble free tint. I like to DIY as much as possible and I thought this was something I could tackle … after trying this myself, I personally would hire a pro or a higher level DIY’er so the finish would be more smooth and professional looking. A couple of notes – the spray bottle it comes with is small, holds just under 1/3 of a cup, but I only had to refill once when doing my window and I was spray, spray, spraying away. Be sure to measure so that you have enough product. The roll that I ordered wasn’t wide enough for my window (which was desired in my situation) and there was just a small amount leftover after doing this window. The squeegee, squirt bottle and cutter can be used again and again and again. Finally, be prepared to clean up a little bit of a mess; I place a towel under the window I was working on.

I never write reviews but this was horrible. Woke up to the film coming apart, corners do not stick. Followed instructions to a T. Even watched YouTubes prior. Basically peeled off in pieces and was asked by Amazon to return the pieces (literal scraps pieces in order to get a refund)…

I selected this window film because I wanted an effect as shown in the advertised description’s photos: a mirrored outside appearance for privacy, but a see-through view from the inside. Even though the description text included "total blackout” I thought the seller's interpretation of blackout referred to the total privacy of the mirrored effect from the outside surface reflecting light. And the product information included a very detailed description specifically for use of a transparent film along with the photos. So, I am unable to review the product shown in the pictures. However, as a total blackout window film, this definitely does the job. And the tools included are convenient. It is a solid black in color for a medium weight film that does not sag or stretch with application. There is no ability to see through the film at all. It would certainly be helpful when wanting to completely block view and/or prevent sunshine and heat from entering a space. So as a blackout product, it’s good, but as the tinted sunshade product depicted, it won’t work. I need to see through the windows as shown because I’m just looking for a sunshade, not total blackout privacy.

This kit comes with everything you need to install the film, except the slip solution. You get the film, a squeegee, a spray bottle, instructions, and even a cutting blade. The film installs easily. The blade cuts the film really quickly and precisely. It's a snap blade so if it gets dull, you snap off the end of it to get a sharp portion. The squeegee works well and, after it pushes the slip solution out, the film firmly sticks to the window. Once the film is installed, you cannot see through the window. You might as well have painted the windows black. Even in the Texas sun, you cannot see through it and the film doesn't wrinkle.

Get something else. I've gotten window film from a number of other brands on Amazon in the past so they are all bargain based, this product is sub par even compared to other brands. I wanted more of a reflection based window film which this says it is, but it's not. There's a tiny bit of reflection but not much. The color isn't all that dark but it will cut down some UV, can't imagine it would be much though. It can be applied about as easy as any other product but I did notice it scratches pretty easily and any creases are there permanently once you get one. My advice is to go with a different brand for the same $ and get a better product. This seller didn't do a very good job writing a description. The photos are all generic.

Roll it flat and get an approximate sizing of your area of application. I cut it down to that size before i mount. Clean window. Add water to your bottle. Spray the window. Peel your vinyl, apply. Either cut now, or use the squeegee/slide the vinyl around in place, depends on how you did. Once you've gotten it nice, and squeegeed all the bubbles of air and/or water out from behind the vinyl, you cut with the supplied blade. Done. Congratulations. The passivity of the vinyl is nice, in both light blocking and privacy. Looks sleek. Stickiness is relevant. If you had a clean window and used the nice water bottle, should be both slick at application and then solidly in place after. Ease of installation is relative... if you never messed with film like this it is both finicky and a learning curve. As far as vinyl to vinyl, this is expected... so... its just the nature of the stuff to be this annoying to install. The water bottle and nice blade they've included make it as EASY as POSSIBLE.
