This is, by far, the quietest air conditioner I've ever purchased. I purchase at least 4 per year for my business. This was my 3rd purchase for this company. You cannot go wrong. Quiet isn't sufficient, I classify it as a "whisper." Until you get used to it's quietness, you'll keep checking to make sure it's running. This is a 5 star plus. I wanted to order another unit today, 3 weeks after I purchased the unit in this review. The vendor raised the price from $218. To an unbelievable $399. This AC is not worth that price. We are running 4 of these throughout our house, cost is approx $1-$2 a day for a cool 72° (very hot and muggy, Savannah, GA). Very efficient, we have a 2 story with 2 hvac which would sometimes cost as much as $30 a day to run, Now around $30 for a month. Awesome. Also some of the BEST customer service we have experienced anywhere, Very helpful and I have no problem bragging about the savings and the quality of these machine.     • Fan settings do not work, only low setting
I purchased this September 2022 intending to use it this summer. We’ve had an unusually cool start to the summer in Colorado. I just started using it and the fan settings do not change to speed of the fan. I contacted the manufacturer and they agreed with the defect. The unit is under warranty, only for replacement, not refund. I contacted Amazon at their suggestion. Because it is out of the 30 day window, they won’t return it either. I’ve already purchased a replacement. Be sure to check things within 30 days or you will eat the cost. I’m a loyal prime member and do not abuse returns. Very disappointing. ... show more

update: this is not reading room temp right, set on 73 and room temp was 80 when went in room!! based on one of the auto settings, unit seems to think room is 66 so there is an issue with the temp reading thing.. yet if i use the temporary ‘i feel’ setting, the AC part will come on even when i set it on 73.. so when set on auto settings, it doesn’t read right temp.. Too much of a hassle to take it down and repackage it for a return, so basically we now go into room and mess with remote till it decides to make AC cooling part come on to actually cool room and cool it off before doing a project in that room.. just do not recommend this one.. not as good as the u-shaped midea units as far as quality, sealing and coldness output. Also the way the remote and options on unit are set up is irritating.. for the money, go buy a midea!! as you can see in my pic, the sealing sticky and regular foam is all twisted up, too badly to provide a seal!! this is how it was packaged in their box.. we had to go buy our own sealing strips/foam, probably best to do since the quality of foam with this unit looks like it will deteriorate quickly.. air caps will still be seen around this unit even after you use the white foam sheet they give you, so have some white foam tape on hand!! Unit has a hole/opening INSIDE the unit in corner, there is no way to plug it from inside the house nor outside the house, it is inside the unit and therefore critters can come into unit.. trying to set this unit to do what you want it to is irritating, basically you are stuck with their preset settings and only the SE i believe it is, can be lowered and if i recall right it was only after i used the remote to do so for the display buttons on unit itself seem to be preset to do what it wants to do. cold air output isn’t horrible once you get remote to comprehend you want it set to read air and come on and off at temp you want it set to. doesn’t cool like our other window ac though, the room this one is in seems to stay on humid/musty side, like the unit is not ridden of the humidity in it at all when cooling room. i have to turn it down to no higher than 73 and leave it at that temp for it to make room cool and semi not as humid.. noise level isn’t too bad but, it is on louder side sooo personally i wouldn’t put this one in a bedroom that one sleeps in at all. get a u-shaped midea for that, they are super quiet in a bedroom (assuming they haven’t changed how they make them that is).. any how, not horrible but, there are better ones IMO. ... show more

I saw a few sketchy reviews and did not Follow my gut feeling to go with a better brand because this unit had a nice price point! I put this unit in my dining room and i can’t even tell it’s on , the temperature stays at 84 on the thermostat rather the unit is on or off! I’ve had it for a while and just decided to unbox it one month ago! Big mistake! ... show more
