This is a very sturdy and comfortable office chair. I purchased it because the user is 6'2" and 280 pounds, and his prior chair did not hold up very well. This chair is attractive and comfortable for prolonged use at a computer desk. Aligning the arms during assembly was a bit tricky, but otherwise the assembly out of the box was straightforward. I would buy this chair again, but I don't think it will be necessary to replace it anytime soon, as it seems very durable.

The chair arrived right on time it was relatively easy to assemble it took about 10 minutes to unbox and put everything together. The seat cushion is firm and unyielding, comfortable to sit on and a great fit for a big and tall person. I am 6 ft 1" and I had to lower the chair ever so slightly in order to accommodate the right height for my legs. This is the first for me.

3/26/2024- UPDATED RATING TO 4/5 FROM 2/5 PREVIOUSLY: I have changed the headline of my review and wanted to note- the seller saw my review and immediately reached out to help. They offered a full refund or to send me a new gas cylinder for the chair. I chose the cylinder. They were super quick to assist in any way they could, very friendly in doing so. That earns a lot of respect in my book, and now this issue of the broken cylinder is taken care of, I am upping my review. They sent a replacement out today and sent a tracking number for the fedex shipment for free. ==================== This chair is not as comfortable as my last chair which was a big and tall chair made by SERTA. This one had good reviews, and I desperately needed to update my old chair as it was 8 years old and falling apart at that point. Post-pandemic, I weigh around 350, so I liked this said 400lbs it can hold. I figured it would hold up. Purchased this Oct 27, 2023, so I've had it under 5 months. COMFORT- It's okay. It's not stellar. Maybe not as comfortable as it should be for $269 ($300 with tax where I'm at in Dallas Texas). The base you sit on is very long...your legs hang over the edge. I am 6ft 3in tall, and with the long base, if I sit back to where my back is touching the back of the chair, my knees are struggling to get over the edge...that is- I can feel my knees pushing fairly hard into the fabric. This isn't bad for when I am sitting with my legs up on the high couch next to my desk (as I often do when watching videos or movies), but when you're sitting up in "work position" for my job at home, it's slightly awkward to say the least. I guess I do not see any benefit to the base being SO long. A few inches shaved off would likely benefit. The cushion is okay, and it feels like it will hold up fairly well over time. The faux leather is nice enough but not high quality by any stretch of the imagination. The color (I got the brown) works well...neutral enough to match everything. The wings on the back that sort of go inward sort of cuddle you (for lack of a better word) and when you sit back in it, it feels comfortable overall. I do not feel much difference in comfort when using the lumbar support on 100% or 0%, but if you have basic issues it might be nice to have. One issue off the bat I have is that at the tallest this chair goes- it's still very low to the ground. I have to sit with my legs at a weird angle even with the longer than normal base due to this. This chair, since it's so long in the base, should go up a few inches higher. The difference between all the way to the ground and the highest it goes looks to be nearly 20" from the part of the base where my butt sits and the lower end is 17.5" approx. I am not sure what the normal range is, but it just seems like not much of a difference, especially when you are putting weight on the chair (and I think lowering the level)- I measured with no one in the chair. Feels much too low for someone with long legs, and I know I have had numerous office chairs in actual offices and at home where the chair height is much more comfortable. The biggest issue is, having it a few days less of 5 months, and being careful with it, sitting it in normally, not abusing it, the gas cylinder that holds the chair up has already failed. So, I sit down in the chair, and even though I have it at that highest position, it falls down to the lowest position immediately. My pants are 34" in the legs, so you can imagine that 17" to the ground is going to be a pain. No way this part should have failed after only a few days short of 5 months. Amazon was no help, telling me to contact the manufacturer based on China (I was told that Amazon had no contact information for the seller also based in China- which seems insane that they even allow a seller to sell items without some form of contact). Even more confusing is this this item is listed as the "AMAZON CHOICE in home office desk chairs." You would think they would require basic seller contact information as part of the deal. I am unwilling to spend the $20 on a new gas cylinder and hope it works, especially since this chair is less than 5 months old, and I've never had this issue with any other chair I've ever had (even a $25 chair at Target never had this issue). WHEELS- the wheels roll very well. I have a big rug in front of my desk in order to not scrape up the faux hardwood floor in my place. They roll well, but the issue is that they roll TOO well, all 4 wheels move independently of each other, and they have no locking mechanism. Which, for me, means that when I roll up to my desk to reach the keyboard, the chair wants to immediately roll a few inches back from the desk, so I am constantly fighting to be able to sit close enough to the desk to reach the keyboard and mouse. I dislike this aspect very much, and it gets tiring having to flex your leg muscles to keep the chair from rolling back on a flat floor. Overall, there are too many flaws for me to recommend this chair- for $150 MAYBE this might be a good deal but at $300 with tax, it's far too pricey for what is basically a higher end of the low level tier to be worth it in my book.

This chair is great for the hip support. I’m 6’2” and the seat is deep enough to go all the way to the back of my knee. The front cushion provides max comfort and support, unlike my previous one that gave me bad sciatica. It doesn’t recline, but it’s a rocking chair and gives you enough flexibility there. Definitely recommend.

Took off a star because of how much the back of the chair leans back is just uncomfortable to work with and my back has been hurting because of it. Considering returning it if I can I have next to my old chair, that as you can see is wearing out, in the pictures to show the difference in height and arms. My old chair was way more expensive than this one so I knew quality wouldn't be the same, but I do have say it is a nice looking chair just a couple of comfort issues. The back is in a more of a reclining position than I like, I will need a pillow for my back since I like to sit up to work, but when I recline back it is very comfortable. Seat is stiff but I am sure it will break in over time but for the most part I find it comfortable to sit on. I misread the 30 in height to be from the seat but it is actually from the bottom of the seat, My head sits fine on the cushion but it does go a little above the top of the cushion when I rest back. I am 5ft 8 and weigh 270 lbs if this helps any. I have the chair at the tallest setting and I can rest my feet flat although the seat cushion does cut into the back of knees, I was afraid it was going to have to sit lower but not an issue. I sit in the seat fine but if you have wider hips you may not like it. It doesn't come close to the comfort of the more expensive chair but for the price it is a pretty decent chair.

I'm a very big and tall guy and the chair is quite comfortable, but what I like most about it is how the armrests allow use of the keyboard and mouse comfortably. The armrests are positioned low and out of the way, but still let you rest your arms on them when needed.
