All-terrain wheels (sold separately) can be swapped onto the same frame and increase the carrying capacity to 450 pounds. It is also easy to load and unload the kayak - no kickstands or scupper posts required - and two included security straps prevent the kayak from slipping. Cart is collapsible for storage and can fit into larger kayak hatches. The heavy duty cart is constructed of marine-grade, High-strength, Heat-Treated aluminum alloy for superior strength.

I had bought an inexpensive kayak cart that worked fine on packed sand or any hard surface but the hard plastic wheels didn't roll well at all through dry sand. This cart is great. My kayak is much more stable on the cart and the low pressure inflatable tires will roll easily over virtually beach, rocky or sandy. I love it. It was a bit pricey but it works so well and is easy to load and unload that I wish I had bought sooner. I have a friend who bought a similar cart but instead of just dropping the kayak onto the cart and strapping it on, his has two vertical posts that stick up thru the scuppers on the kayak. It's great once it's loaded but getting it onto the posts is a job. If you're going to spend a chunk of money for a cart, I don't think you can beat this one. ... show more

This cart is so amazing especially when you combine it with the wilderness system kayak as it fits perfectly! So easy to load and maneuver. I also bought the solid wheels and once again just so easy to use and very very sturdy! Only improvement could be The assembly directions but still pretty easy to figure out. This cart has no plastic parts that you have to worry about breaking and the straps that come with it secure the kayak so it doesn’t move at all. I suspect this cart will last forever! I can’t say enough good things about this cart/trolley. It carries my fully loaded Old Town Sportsman 106 with ease, and it’s about 140lbs with all gear on it. The beach wheels are worth the extra money, without question. I’ve pulled through sand, gravel, dirt, loose rocks, pavement, grass, etc - no problem. ... show more

Overall this is well built and can handle the weight of my fully loaded kayak. I only gave it 4 stars because the sand tires are not very round. When pushing the kayak you notice an egg shape jump on every revolution of the tire. Its not severe just annoying when you are already pulling a lot of weight. Mind do seem to hold air just fine though. As a side not my Old Town Topwaters tunnel hull is deeper than the height of the bars on this cart. The tires are so big that when the bar are seated into the tunnel hull the wheels rub on the hull in the tallest position. Not a fault of the cart just the way it fits on a Topwater kayak. I had to add additional padding to the bars to raise it high enough. ... show more

I zip tied a pool noodle to both sides for protection for the cart. But the clearance on both sides is like 3 inches. Rolls easy and is easy to set it on the cart too. Definitely recommend this cart to sportsman pdl owners!

My cheaper cart with standard wheels just dug into the sand. So spent the money on this. It’s great. Really don’t even need to strap. Rolls over sand with ease. I use oldtown big water pdl. I even load all my gear on kayak. Cart handles it fine.
