What a Power house! I’ll start from the beginning, I bough this unit mainly because I am going from a Black and Decker 20v unit that has absolutely no aftermarket support. I wanted something to try the wire brush attachments and try that blade that comes with it. This one is built like a Gas Trimmer, but without the headache of dealing with mixed gas. I needed a hedge trimmer and have said for a while that, I could use a bigger cutting swath on my big corner lot when trimming as I have a privacy fence that goes around my whole property. I also wanted the blade to trim back my overgrown patch of Black Cap (Raspberry family) bushes here in MN, as well as using the hedge trimmer. I got the one with two batteries for longevity. To start? Assembly was not too terrible. I did knock off one star due to instructions not being super clear. And the grammar mistakes. (I’m not one of those that harp and pick at just that) the part that threw me and made me pretty angry for a bit was trying to attach the handle to the shaft! There’s 3 holes you can put the little button on the handle into, and of course it’s underneath so I didn’t see it right off, no mention of this in the instructions. Overall? Wasn’t horrible. Just is a hot day today, so you can imagine my impatience lol. There’s also no instructions on how to pull the stringer apart to refill the string. But there’s a great, short n sweet YT video that shows you not only how to take it apart? But how to re string! And this is new to me as my BnD unit only has one output, this one naturally has two. I believe I’ll be back to had stringing this as my BnD unit was a PITA to redo. USAGE: What I said in the beginning, this thing means buisness! It’s about 3x as powerful as that BnD unit I’ve used for 4 years. Thing was actually pulling me along as I walked! Those of you used to gas trimmers it’ll probably feel similar. I will say I will use the shoulder strap going forward as it’s pretty heavy. More than I’m used to. That and I’m not used to having to “Bop” it to feel more string. My BnD is an auto feed. While there are some small drawbacks? This is a great unit and I’m glad to purchase. Have not tried the other accessories yet, I’ll come back and update when I do.

I don’t know much about these types of tools. I ordered this trimmer set and learned to use them so that I could do my yard myself instead of paying the landscaper since the fees are constantly increasing. Once assembled, these are easy to use. The unit needs to be charged before using, but once fully charged I am able to do my entire yard. Switching out the attachments are quick and easy to do. They all work very well.

When this arrived, I really had high hopes. But that faded quickly when I began assembly. (Yes, you have to assemble all the different tools.) The directions are lousy. If you are mechanically inclined you can figure it out. If not, look elsewhere. The first tool I assembled, was the weed eater. The handle only has 3 fixed positions you can use. None were really good for me. And since those positions are fixed, I can't use it to edge like I can with all my other weed eaters. Also, the bar on the handle was too flimsy to be effective. I was impressed with the power the weed eater had. I used it to cut a lot of light to medium weeds and I liked it better than my gas unit, as it was lighter and had far less vibration. I also liked the safety on/off mechanism as it was a natural fit and very easy to use. However, nowhere in the directions does it discuss line replacement. When I contacted the company about this, all they could recommend was purchasing a new spool! Well, I took pictures after I disassembled the spool so you can see how it needs to go. Switching to the brush cutter blade was simple, and again I was impressed with it. It won't cut large stuff, like a good gas unit, but for smaller vegetation it works better than the gas. It worked pretty good on taller grass as well. I got about 30 - 35 minutes before I needed to recharge the batteries. I consider that OK given that it was operating 99% of the time. As for the hedge trimmer, it didn't work well. I'm not sure what the issue was, but I had to go over the same area multiple times as it didn't cut well. It is also extremely awkward to use. I will continue to use my electric unit as it is 1000% better than this one. As I was already disappointed with how time consuming it was to assemble and switch tools, I did not assemble the pole saw. I have an excellent battery one already, and since this unit is very short, I would never use it. Most of the time I use a manual pole saw as they are easy to control and give a much better cut than any power saw. Overall, I just can't recommend this package. It has some strengths, but needs substantial improvements.

I was a little skeptical of getting a dual 20V system over a single 40V system. My experiences between a single 12V/18V/20V/40V battery is that the higher the number the higher the power output. This tool with two 20V batteries perform indistinguishably close to a single 40V tool. The weight of the two 20V batteries balance the end of the tool and aren't noticeably heavy. I was able to trim around my 1200 sqft Ranch home, fence line, deck, forest behind my home, and garden beds while only using a single bar from each battery. The weed whipper trimmer attachment didn't bog down at all and the string only got eaten away when getting too close to my brick home. The pole saw and hedge trimmer attachments will get some use once the rain lets up around me. I was able to quickly swap the different heads out with the quick push pin system. The initial setup and disassembling the trimmer for either the weed whipper or brush cutter is my only complaint. It takes a few minutes to figure out how it goes together, but once you learn it's not too much. You definitely won't want to be swapping between the trimmer and brush cutter frequently. I plant to cut back some of the shrubs behind my home with the brush cutter and then leaving the trimmer head on permanently afterwards.

Hadn't even used it, charged the batteries and tested it before using the first time. It smelled like it was burning and stopped, won't restart. Not worth the money or hassle.

So far we’ve had the chance to use 3 of the 4 features (we don’t really have any brush to use the brush cutter blade on) and are very happy with what we've tried. The instructions (25 pages) jump around a little, but they're thorough and cover the assembly and use of all of the attachments as well as some tips for basic yard work. We think it’s kinda loud for an electric trimmer, so you’ll definitely want hearing protection. With earplugs, it's great! It’s relatively well balanced so it doesn't feel too heavy (although it starts to get heavy after a few hours,) There are a few minor confusing things, like an arrow on the trimmer attachment that seems like it should line up with another arrow, but it doesn’t and how it says to remove three shims or spacers to put the trimmer guard on, but it never says to reinstall them anywhere, so they’re just extra parts that don’t seem to go with anything. Something to keep in mind is that it needs both batteries to work so when they’re out of charge, you’re done until they’re recharged. But after two hours using it on and off today, the battery lasted just fine. We're really liking the performance, power, and value.
