This works great to convert composite cords to hdmi. The original wii comes with AV cords in red, white, and yellow which do not work on new TV’s this product is perfect to convert so you can use your original wii system.

I hooked up the adapter and it worked just as I would expect. The resolution isn't widescreen but these things are expected when you use third party items to accomplish what you need.
