    • Installed in my guest bathroom
I have a very bare bones guest bath - just enough room to turn around, really, but I took out the ugly old, chipped-back mirror (y'know, where the silver chips off and the mirror is nothing more than glass) and replaced it with a really cool LED lighted mirror. The kind with an LED strip about an inch inside the outer edge of the mirror plus it has RGB backlighting which is way cool! The issue is that this bathroom has one outlet/two plugs and that was it. The LED mirror did not have to be hardwired (it could be), but had the option of being plugged in. One plug gone. So...I added this smart power strip, using velcro to hold it on the wall and now I have not just more plug-ins, but USB ports. A quick and easy way to update the bathroom's only power source to make it useful for guests needing a place to recharge their cell phone when staying over or using a power toothbrush that uses a USB cable for power.     • Convenient way to add smart items to your network
I got this unit for my son's room, so that he could control the lights and small electronics to our smart hub. It's a convenient way to add four standard plugin items to the network to tun on and off and it's nice to also have four USB plugs, though they are not what could be called "fast charging". Setup was quite simple and intuitive to connect to the Amazon Alexa and easily control the unit with the Smart Life mobile app. Be aware that the cord is just shy of 5 feet long, so keep that in mind when deciding on placement and eash of reach. The Jinvoo Smart Power Strip contains 4 A/C outlets along with 4 USB charging outlets. If you are so inclined, it can be voice controlled via Google and Alexa. It’s unfortunate that every one of these types of things requires a custom piece of software on your phone to work – so many apps and so much trust required! Testing the USB charging, you’ll see reduced charging speeds based upon the number of items plugged in (see pics). I drained my Pixel 6XL Pro down to 33% and plugged it in. While it surged to 890mA momentarily, it pretty much stayed in the 490-510mA range while charging. I plugged in a dead Ryobi 2Ah battery, and the charge amount dropped to the 240s. A second 2Ah battery and the phone pretty much decided it wasn’t being charged. The phone did appear to be getting at least a trickle charge as after about an hour, it was at 36%. After around two hours the phone was up to 46%. One the 2A batteries charged the phone charged much quicker. The power strip warmed up considerably but not so hot you can’t keep your hand on it. They don’t advertise PD or QC 3.0 but even at a trickle we need to be able to plus a couple of items up and get juice. Having 4 ‘smart’ plugs at this price is a great value, however you are tied to long cords or limited area that can reach the strip. 4 Stars. ... show more

    • Incredibly useful and easy to configure
This is practically plug and play. Step 1: Plug smart strip into wall and then plug in your lamps or devices that you want to control. Step 2: You can configure with the SmartLife app then just use the Alexa app to customize that- if you are already using it. That's what I use to control all my devices. Alexa has no problems at all recognizing it. From there you can make schedules or phrases to control the whole strip or individual plugs. I love this and how automated my home is becoming. Here’s a tip: Do not go straight to your Alexa app and add this device under the brand name of this power strip, it will give you a security warning. Use Smart Life (app) and then if you want to use Alexa add the device under Smart Life! ... show more

    • Great power strip!
This power strip is not the biggest one in town, but what it lacks in size/slots, it makes up for in substance. It has a small footprint, the slots are a good distance apart so that all of them are functional, and it works with Alexa (once you set it up). The only improvement it could use is a longer cord. Unless what you are plugging into is has a very long cord, it's a little bit of a challenge to keep this on a desk/table without it dangling. Other than that, it's a solid power strip option if you don't have a lot of things to plug in, and a good value for the price ($28 as of this writing). ... show more
