This thing is everything I asked for in motion sensor. It does not need any hub, and the batteries seem to last. The polling times a little slow and I think that's something I can change but I'm not sure where. At worst it's 10 seconds delayed from seeing the motion to executing an Alexa routine. What I was trying to avoid was having to add another hub to the system and then adding a 2.4 GHz Network because it seems all the big companies are behind on their Wi-Fi tech. ... show more

Added this to my Alexa Devices but Alexa does not detect motion. The smart life app does work flawlessly though, it is just that Alexa says No Motion when there clearly was. So, Alexa routines fail to trigger....

Finnally someone made a motion sensor that plugs in. I am so tired of the batteries. Plus they work with the Smartlife app which is the best app in my opinion. And at only $19 bucks that's half the price of Hue sensors. I am replacing all my sensors. You can add batteries for backup if you want. Connected right up first try. Has not lost connection yet. Works plugged in via micro USB or on battery power. Easy setup through the Smart life app. Easy to automate my home through Alexa with this motion sensor. Hopefully they'll update the plug to USB C in future models.
