An excellent wheelchair! The pads on the back and seat are mesh, similar to the kind on ergonomic office chairs. They do provide a bit of padding. Product would not fold at all and could not move the locks couldn't use for what I purchased it for . Handicapped and couldn't send back very disappointed.

Chair is comfortable to sit in, however it is very difficult to use on carpeted surfaces and any loose/uneven terrain like in a parking garage with sand or gravel on the concrete. The large wheels on the front cause the rear to loose traction and the only way to move is to use your feet to push. When a person is pushing, if on a carpeted surface, they will have a difficult time moving. If the front wheels were pushed out further, or the wheels on the front were not so large, the issue would be resolved. ... show more

Chair came in beat up box, left by fed x by the garage door instead of front door and I wasn't aware it was there until I was looking at other times for other orders.
