  • 700x47 is perfect for my cargo bike
Size: 700 x 47
Bought this tire to use on my homemade cargo bike. The original rear frame was a Schwinn Transit hybrid and this larger tire fits in the rear triangle perfectly with plenty of room. 50psi provides a great ride with the heavier loads.

  • Great all around tires, they do mount small
Size: 27 x 1 1/4 (32-630)
I bought three sets of these so far, and they worked well for my purposes. Pros: - Rolling quiet on all surfaces. I ride on pavements, bike trails with crushed limestone, and dirt roads with loose gravels - Smooth on the pavement with low rolling resistance - I had about 1,000 miles on one set with no flat, and they wear very well, I think they will last another 2,000 miles, maybe more if I rotated them - They look awesome and are very economical solution for us normal person who just like to be out riding Cons: (but not all that bad though) - They are heavy, so to get them going takes more time - Cornering sensation was a bit strange when I first rode them, but now it's either wearing off or I got use to it - Being heavier tires, they are not particularly difficult in climbing, but riding into the wind is slow - In narrower tires, they are a little more work to mount or take off (referring to the set of 27" x 1 1/4 and 700C x 32mm), I did have to use my trusty metal tire levers, and the Park Tool blue plastic ones won't work. The 700C x 42mm are much easier. No tool required, all hands without white knuckles Important things to remember: they do mount smaller than their stated sizes. Here are some measurements for your reference: height measurement is from outer edge of the rim to the outer profile of the tire For 700C x 32 on a 700c 13mm rim: width 26.5mm x height 27mm 700c 15mm rim: width 27.5mm x height 27mm For 27" x 1 1/4 on 27" wheel (mine are 80's Miyata Gran Tour's Araya rims): width 28mm x height 27mm For 700C x 42 on a 700c 18mm rim: width 36mm x height 36mm Based on these measurements, I would say buy one size up to your original tires, but just for Conti Ride Tour, I have not tried the other models - My Trek 820 can take 700c x 37 tires (a non Conti brand), and it took 700c x 42 Ride Tour with ease - My vintage Bianchi can barely take 700c x 28 tires, but took 700c x 32 Ride Tour ok ... show more

  • Great upgrade from stock tires for commuting 10/10
Size: 20 x 1.75 (47-406)
Tire: 20 inch Bike: Schwinn Loop Miles so far on tire: 150 Location: Tucson, Arizona These tires are awesome. Right off the bat, they feel a lot better than the cheap stock tires. PSI was the same at 60, but these tires grip and roll better. The tire really shines for commuting, or on country roads. The tire has an anti-puncture tire liner built into the tire, and boy does it work. I’m new to the southwest, and didn’t realize how many thorns there are. I’ve been riding daily for three weeks, and have pulled 7-10 thorns per tire out, with a couple ones still stuck in there. That alone has saved me time from not changing a flat, and most likely the cost of two tubes (generally they say you can patch a tube 3-5 times before you should replace it). I don’t know how many miles I can get on this tire, so I can’t speak on longevity. It’s not my only bike, so I might not ever get to the couple thousand miles on it before it needs replacing. I also keep my bikes indoors, which also helps parts last longer. However, for commuting, highway, or country roads this tire is great. They’ve already shown they’re up to the task of handling thorns, glass, and tiny rocks. There might be better tires out there, but I’ll be putting continental tires on all my bikes for the foreseeable future. They offer a nice mix between quality and price. They also offer a much better ride for anyone looking to upgrade from their stock tires and is tired of changing flats. Last point, your other options to help guard against flats is tire liners and slime. They both work, but I think these tires offer less headaches. Slime can get messy, clog pumps, don’t work on big holes, and gunk up stems. I think it’s best saved for mountain bikes. Tire liners are reusable, but some say they can damage or cause holes in a tube. The built in tire liner of these tires doesn’t have those problems. For those reasons these are my go to tire recommendation for new riders looking to upgrade or buy new bicycle tires. The savings you get by not changing and patching inner tubes will quickly make this a better deal than buying a cheaper tire. 10/10 ... show more

  • Works fine but smaller than advertised. Made in India.
Size: 700 x 32
Ordered this for my Fuji bicycle with 700x32 tires. What I got was a tire closer to 700x28 even though it says it is a 700x32 on the sidewalls. Also the sidewall height is quite a bit smaller too. So the tire is definitely a lot smaller than my original which measures 700x35 -- I am guessing it started out as a 700x32 tire and has stretched out to 700x35 over the 5 years since I purchased the bike. I also had to replace the inner tube as the old tube was stretched too much to fit inside the newer smaller tire. But the tire works well so it is well worth the purchase. Yes it was a little difficult to install the first time. But that has been the case for every new tire that I have purchased. I had to use some plastic tire tools to get it on the rim. The tire is made in India so I am hoping it holds up better then most stuff made in China. The tire however showed up 3 to 4 days late so I knock off 1 star for being late. ... show more
