Cools alright but the carbon filter is a joke. So thin and cheep it not worth putting in there. I also had smoke come in the unit when there was a fire for a day.

When it works, it's fine, but it constantly has to be reset or it stops cooling. I bought it two years ago, and it only gerts used about two months of the year. Year one was fine. Year two was spotty. This is year three, and I just reset it for the fourth time in an hour.

I’ve had this unit for about 2 weeks now and it’s been working great. It’s more than enough to keep my bedroom below 70 degrees (while it’s 85+ degrees outside). This unit would also be great for a larger space, such as a living room. While it is loud, it does not have any intrusive sounds. The fan has a balanced white/pink noise distribution, although the powerful compressor literally shakes the unit when it turns on. My only complaint is that the remote does not work well from all angles (especially greater distances). If you make a change on the remote when it is out of range, the readout will update on the remote but not on the unit. For this reason, I often find it quicker to change the settings on the unit itself than to trust that the remote has translated everything accurately. ... show more
