Was using a Unicorn Magnum grinder for many years, but this is a definite step up in all aspects. Loading is best of class, and the output is better than the Magnum, and the adjustability is superior as well. Not sure what else I could ask for, other maybe a matching salt mill or shaker. Hopefully holds up in the long run, but seems quality built.

My buddy got a pepper cannon and I found a few others on here much cheaper… I have used it for 4 months now and it holds its own against his pepper cannon. He was over this weekend and used it and goes, “woah, this was half price of mine? Solid.” Tl;dr - it’s worth it.

Great grinder. Really puts out the pepper and the small increments of adjustment on the grind size works very well - from a small powder up to large flakes. If you're a pepper aficionado like I am you need one of these for cooking as well as the table.

This is my first exposure to an expensive pepper mill and I am thoroughly impressed. This thing is built like a tank, is similar in size and shape to a manual coffee grinder, but heavier, the action is very smooth, and it has a large capacity. The amount of pepper it produces really has to be seen to be believed. A quick quarter turn produces a goodly amount. The grind size selection is good and while the coarsest setting is course, it isn't super coarse. If you like pepper that is barely cracked, this might not be for you. All in all, 5 stars. This is an amazing mill, built to last, and a pleasure to use.

I've been looking for a better pepper mill. One that put out more pepper. People love the pepper cannon but its price tag was out of my comfort zone. I saw this one and (with the coupon) it was less than half the pepper cannon. There are a few brands on Amazon that look just like it and all have great reviews but this one had the best price. So I pulled the trigger. First impression: Comes in a nice (giftable) box. And the pepper grinder itself is stout. Heavy, beefy. Feels very solid. The grind coarseness setting is easy to adjust. Its easy to fill. It even has a cap to put on the business end so you don't get pepper dust everywhere when you're not using it. But how does it work. So in one of the photos they show a comparison of the WhiteRhino grinder to several others. The text says "5-10x higher output". Sounds great. But comparing the volume of pepper they show is more like 33-77x as much for the WhiteRhino. I just happen to have the grinder second from the left so decided to give them both a try. Loaded both with the same fresh peppercorns. Adjusted the courseness setting so both were kind of medium-fine. Then did ten complete turns on each. My old grinder gave me 0.5g of pepper (little less than 1/4 teaspoon). The WhiteRhino gave me 4.1g (a little more than 1/2 tablespoon). So the WhiteRhino cranked out about 8x what my old mill did. I would have preferred the 57x that their graphic implies but i'm satisfied with 8x. If its as durable as it is easy and efficient it will be money well spent.

Just to be clear, I really love everything about WhiteRhino's Professional Pepper Grinder Mill. I haven't been this impressed by a product in quite a while. In fact, I wish there was a six star rating! I'm old enough to remember when a particular French pepper mill was considered the finest one could have and I've owned one for many years and use it exclusively (I never buy pre-ground pepper). The WhiteRhino Mill is a game changer! Its most welcome and key feature is its output: just a few to no more than several twists easily dispense around a quarter teaspoon of finely ground pepper. I can now do in seconds what it's been taking me minutes to accomplish. It also has a large capacity, easy adjustments from coarse to fine, solid construction, and is beautifully styled. It's really everything I could wish for in a pepper grinder. And, again, it works like a dream, easily and effortlessly! I now almost smile if a recipe calls for a large quantity of ground pepper. Yes, I know it's pricey. But, in this case, you'll be getting a superlative product. Call me crazy, but this mill just works so well it simply blew me away!!!
