She was put on my auto buy list immediately after I read Lord of Desire in 2005. Jacob's story was a slow start for me and I wasn't sure I would like it as much as Books 1 and 2. That may have been true, as it became my favorite of the series. Having become a dragon and attempting to understand his new abilities, Jacob meets River. River is a very no nonsense, capable female who doesn't realize that Jacob is a Shifter. The storyline for this book is complex, but easy to follow. I really enjoyed the huge twist at the end! This one will go in my read again section! ... show more

Paula Quinn has drawn me out of my genre to read and enjoy her books about the Drakkons. Jacob White’s life had changed when he was turned into a Drakkon! River Wray’s life was music and would love to find someone to discover her. She was living with her dad and twin sister Ivy to help financially. When she meets Jacob her life changes. Jacobs life changes also. I would recommend reading this book to see the different changes to their lives. ... show more

    • Awesome series
This was an amazing story with great characters just like the first two books, but the last half made me too dizzy to fully enjoy it. I think it just needs a round of polishing. The suspense kept dragging me forward but the squashed together and jumbled characters and scenes kept stopping me so fast my eyes were spinning. It was hard to figure out right away who was who, whose sister or brother belonged to who, who was doing what, and who was the one talking. If those things got fixed in the 2nd and in this third book, the whole thing would probably be my favorite romance series of all time. ... show more

Really enjoyed this story of Jacob ( a White Drakkon) and River. Their love was an intimate connection as was their love of music. Once Jacob met River while he was in dragon form, he was unable to get her from his mind. He fought the pull because of his immortality and her being human. Great story and strongly recommend Paula Quinn and the Rulers of the Sky series. ... show more
