    • Thin foam, cuts easily, but what a smell!

I haven’t worked with EVA foam before, so these foam pieces are a good sampler pack for me to start playing around with. Unfortunately I couldn’t find an MSDS sheet for this particular foam to determine if it was safe to use with a laser. My setup has adequate ventilation, so I tried anyway, and I’m still here. It would be nice if I could find the manufacturer’s info though. Most of the colors were uniform, but the purple sheet had some splotchy coloring to it. The smell on opening the package was powerful though. I had to let the sheets air out for a day or two before I could really use them. If all goes well with them, I might be willing to get more of this stuff. At 50 cents a sheet it’s less than 1 cent per square inch and could make some interesting crafts. ... show more

The foam sheets have nice colors. Unfortunately, the product had an awful smell when I opened the package -- like walking into an unventilated chemistry lab. The smell persisted until I aired them out for a day and a half. This foam worked perfectly for my project. Just pay attention to the measurements to ensure that it's the correct size and thickness. These are about the size of half a sheet of paper which was great for my project, but might not work for you.

This came with the quantity and number of colors specified. They are bright colors that can have many uses. The are also a sturdy thickness but not too thick to cut. I am using them for kid crafts and they look like they will be perfect but I may have to get more.

I wanted to make saddles or blankets for our cork reindeer to make them stand out from the herd, and felt this would be perfect. The weight of the foam is good and it's easy to work with, but wow does it smell funny! I would air them out before use.
