This folding, portable wheelchair is pretty much as advertised on Amazon. Both the seat and the footrest expand quite easily and lock into the open position. It also folds quite easily by compressing the under-seat lever to release and fold the seat. The foot rest also folds easily. Support legs built into the axle allow the folded chair to stand erect. The built-in telescoping pull-handle operates much like that of a wheeled suitcase pull handle, it can be set to two different lengths, and it makes pulling the collapsed wheelchair fairly easy. The collapsed handle can be used to lift and carry the folded chair. The wheelchair rolls easily on finished surfaces, although pushing work increases on unfinished surfaces like dirt or gravel. The grab handles are pretty comfortable, and the brake levers, although requiring some level of squeeze pressure to operate, provide fair braking operations. The handles can be adjusted to a desired height for comfort. One feature that should be incorporated is a mechanism to lock the wheelchair in its folded position. The chair has a built-in restrainer to help keep the wheelchair folded, but it's not as effective as a locking mechanism would be. The chair can unfold if a user doesn't exercise a bit of caution when picking it up by, for example, the seat back or the handles. Overall, it's well built and is a pretty good investment. We used it during a recent (August 2025) cruise and it was a pretty simple task to use it during boarding, on the ship, disembarking, and during ports of call excursions. In its folded position, it stores easily in a stateroom.

I’m incredibly pleased with the Whlickd adult wheelchair—it’s exactly as advertised and perfect for travel. The chair folds up easily and compactly, making it ideal for short trips. I use a pad for longer outings, which makes it even more comfortable. It maneuvers beautifully and handles very well, even with an adult close to the weight capacity. One of my favorite features is how lightweight and manageable it is. I can lift it into the trunk of my small Kia Soul with no trouble at all—it fits perfectly back there! This chair also has a modern, sporty look that sets it apart from traditional wheelchairs. That design has made a big difference for my mom; she doesn’t feel self-conscious using it. I also appreciate the adjustable push handles that lock securely in place, as well as the footrest platform, which is much sturdier than models with slats. If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be to upgrade the armrests. But with a little creativity (we use a pool noodle), it’s an easy fix for added comfort. All in all, I love this chair and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a functional, travel-friendly wheelchair with a sleek, supportive design.

Good portable wheelchair - with one problem that could be a deal breaker. -- It is lightweight yet very sturdy, easily folds for transport in the trunk, and unfolds easily for use and you can lock the wheels in place so the chair can't move as the person is getting in and out of it. It carries a 200 lb person with no problems and easily rolls on "smooth" surfaces. BUT - this is what may be a deal breaker for you: The front wheels won't roll over common entry door thresholds and with the weight of a person in it, that becomes a big problem. Evidently, it needs larger front wheels or wheels that have some "give" to them so they can get over normal variations in surfaces. There's a wheelchair ramp at the hospital that has a tiny gutter seam between the ramp and the asphalt parking lot and the front wheels get stuck in it. A running start is required to get the front wheels past it - and the jolt to the person in the wheelchair is not pleasant. If you will be using it on continuous smooth surfaces - it will be just fine, but if you use it anywhere else - like out in the real world - you may be sending it back - so be aware of that before buying it.

I purchased this for my husband. He is in a wheelchair, and a regular wheelchair is very heavy taking in and out of car. I purchased this to ease the pain in my back from lifting the old one. The quality is amazing, incredibly easy to put together. Much lighter and comfortable for my husband. I keep in the car to make Dr visits much easier for me and him. And the chair itself is very sturdy. I would recommend those who need a lighter wheelchair travel. When folds it is very compact.

After a prolonged entry from a handicap spot to the Dr. appt, (including a wish that we could stop & rest...) I ordered this. We bought it for use after Dad's surgery. Normally he uses a walker. This helped us out of his building, to my car, across parking lots, into the exam room from the waiting room. It helped conserve his strength. This is lightweight enough for a woman to fold & lift into the trunk of a sedan. The size was good for an average size man. The locking brakes helped Dad feel secure when he transferred from the chair into the car. I like the luggage type handle that is available once it is folded up. It's stored in a closet now. We will be ready next time. I noticed envious glances of people my age as they struggled to push a wheelchair or collapse it into their car. This is well worth the money. It was easy to assemble too. Moves fine enough on thick carpet. Bare floor & medical office carpet are ideal.

Zero stars if I could. Edit: the 1st chair we got was already broken. No problem, Amazon sent us a new chair. The 2nd chair the threads on 1 of the handles is striped and that makes the chair unusable as you need both handles to use the chair. Since we already got a replacement we cannot get a 2nd replacement. So now I am stuck with a broken unusable chair that was expensive. Might take the chair to my local ACE hardware and see if someone can help me with it. I've been contacted by a couple of people due to my 1st review. None that are willing to help this situation Nice transporter. Easy to push. Only 2 stars, the handles are adjustable but the screws won't stay put since the handles dont have open holes for the screws to go into. Need a drill to make holes in the handles. Upsetting, just realized
