    • Air Fryer Oven that's really like an oven
I succumbed to the allure of the air fryer in June of 2021. I tried my neighbor's basket type, and I wanted more room, so I bought this one, and I'm glad I did. It comes with a rotisserie chicken basket I have not used, because all our chickens around here are too big for it, but I use the heck out of those shelves. Things I've learned about air frying: 1. The top shelf drips on the bottom shelf- plan accordingly. 2. The top shelf gets done before the bottom shelf. Plan accordingly. 3. It can reheat a grilled sandwich to a beautiful, perfect crispness that is better than when it was freshly grilled. 4. There are parchment paper sheets made to cover air fryer racks that have holes in them to let the air through. They are nice to use because they keep the racks mostly clean. 5. Soak the racks and whatever you burned onto them comes off easily. 6. If you want to use a scrub brush on your racks, use one with very stiff bristles, and scrub with just the edge, using a kind of flicking motion. I use a Carlisle brand nylon nail brush, and it works great. Weird choice, but I always have it by my sink as I'm a gardener and sometimes I want to get the mud out from underneath my nails without washing dishes. I read a lot of reviews that whined about brushing the racks, and wah, wah, wah. Soak them, use your sprayer, and then the brush. 7. You can run the racks through the dishwasher, and then take off whatever's left on them. There may not even be anything left! 8. If you have a lot of stuff to fry, keep shuffling stuff around and move it closer together as it shrinks down. I've made myself learn to move stuff over like an assembly line, and always add to the back and remove from the front. 9. You can cover the bottom pan in foil. Thinner, cheaper foil works better than the heavy duty kind. 10. Air fryer sausages are the bomb!! Over all, I'm quite happy with the purchase. ... show more

    • There's an Art to Cooking With It
We have several friends who swear by the convenience and optimal cooking results of an air fryer (also known as a "convection oven"). On the other hand, some of our friends think their purchase of one was a waste of money. So, I decided to give one a try myself. The user (cook) interface of this oven is really nice. The backlit icons are very intuitive and make it easy to use the programmed cook times and temperatures. It's not super heavy and that's a good thing. We don't have a lot of countertop space in our kitchen. So, when we're not using the oven we store it on top of one of the kitchen cabinets. So far, we've cooked French fries, pork chops, and chicken wings in it. I've also baked cookies in it. My friends who love it say that it does wonders with chicken wings. For me, the first time with the chicken wings and the French fries was disappointing. The fries weren't as crispy as we were expecting. I don't think I sprayed them with enough vegetable oil. Subsequent tries turned out a little better, but fries are still a work in progress. The chicken wings didn't cook evenly. I was expecting that the circulating hot air would ensure even cooking. What I discovered is that when I use two cooking trays I still need to turn the wings periodically and swap the tray positions to help them cook evenly. Plus, I had to tweak the programmed cooking times and temp for chicken. They take a little longer to cook for me than the included cooking guide states. One thing that I wish was a little better is the depth of the bottom tray that collects the meat drippings. I wish it was deeper because it gets pretty close to overflowing most of the time. I actually have to stop the oven, take the drip tray out, dump the drippings and put the tray back in before resuming cooking. That's kind of a pain. On the other hand, the inside of the oven is easy to clean between uses.     • Great Family Air Fryer
With 5 people in our family, I worried about having to cook our food in several small batches in an air fryer, so I looked for one that had extra space. This guy does not disappoint. The two racks are great for getting everything cooked at once. We love getting crispy fries for the family out of this thing for dinner. Leftovers heated up have a new crispy and toasty life too. We love the rotating basket and cook roast potatoes or Brussels sprouts in it. The whole family can operate this thing without complication, and it prevents us from having to turn on the oven which is very nice in summer. Would definitely get this one again. ... show more

This is one of the best kitchen appliances that I have ever purchased. I love the way you can use your own custom settings but also use the preset buttons for many types of food. I have had this air fryer for 2 years now and it has never had and issue and right from the start was easy and intuitive to use My favorite features are rotating basket and rotisserie. perfect for fries and hot dogs, among many other things.     • Almost 2 years daily use!
I have been using this air fryer almost daily for nearly 2 years and it's still going strong!! It is by far the most used appliance in my kitchen. I had heard bad things about the "drawer" type fryers, so I opted for one with a door and shelves. It is SO much more versatile; there's practically nothing I can't cook in this unit. A rotisserie rod is included for whole chickens and metal skewers for shish kabob type items. It's a convection oven too so things cook evenly and super fast. The browning feature is excellent; in fact, I threw away my toaster and toaster oven and use this Whall unit instead. I have gained a lot more counter space in my kitchen!
