So overall this light works. The good and bad... The hole was slightly bigger than the previous light I had in so a simple cut and it fit perfectly. Light pushed right into the hole (template provided) and was snug but easy enough to pull down to change the brightness/color of the light. Even for the 2nd to last setting, it was plenty bright for a basement light. Brightest setting was actually too bright. So now the bad...the wires did not fit into the connectors provided. If the wire gauge is smaller, it would snap right into the connector and it's a simple plug and play, unfortunately, I needed to cut the connectors off and twist connect them. The light takes a fraction of a second to turn on. I use this in my basement for the bottom of the stairs. the light at the top is a regular bulb and turns on instantly, you can see this one turns on a fraction of a second later. Really not a big deal and didn't notice it until my son pointed it out. Overall, can't complain and for the price, great value. There were so many other options and since this was for the basement, I went with the least expensive and I have no complaints. With so many similar products out there, I hope this review was helpful! ... show more
