Okay, I have to admit that I am writing this as sort of a joke. I bought this after we had an unusual snow storm the beginning of January. In Arkansas we got over 10 inches and were stuck in the house for 3 days. I am 66 and lived in Florida most of my life so shoveling snow was not my thing. Over the years I have heard about people having hear attacks shoveling the stuff so I was a little frightened about shoveling it, but I did and took 2 days to clear my drive way. A little at a time. I decided that I was never going to have to shovel snow again and bought this snow blower because it was made by Westinghouse, had metal blades and was reasonably priced. I put it together in about 30 minutes, it was not hard to do. I was so excited about getting it I foolishly put it together on my front porch in the cold, at night by the light from our porch light. In daylight I am sure it would have been an easier job. I was not hard. FYI, the nuts are metric. So now I joke with my wife since I have never plugged it in and gotten to use it, that this is my insurance we will not have another snow storm this year. Today is February 3td. Fairly easy to assemble and worked well on 2” of snow. We needed something smaller than our gas powered blower for these lighter snow falls. I’m not mad that it’s corded, so much easier than our gas blower and all the maintenance that comes with them! First time using it

The first snowstorm hit Eastern NY last night so I started my morning assembling the snowblower. Took 15-20 minutes, 4 screws and 3 clips to secure power line. This is a very solid well made machine that is a push button to start. It isn't as loud as expected and you can feel the power. The chute is a little stiff to turn but after a couple rotations it loosens up. The cord does take some adjustment as you switch positions. I purchased the suggested cord and it is sturdier than my own from the big box stores. This machine cut my shoveling in half and after 30 years, this is a well deserved purchase. Purchased the Westinghouse 22 Snowblower on Amazon. I needed a small snowblower to clear my deck and patio form snow to let my 2 dogs out. I live just south of Buffalo NY 3 miles off lake Erie. As luck would have it the evening I received the delivery we were getting hit with heavy lake effect snow. Next morning I went out to the garage and assembled the blower. Directions are clear and easy to follow if you read them if you don't you will end up taking it a part to get it right. (and I only did this when my wife came out to help). It then went together easily. I took it right out and gave it a try WOW! There was a little less than a foot of wet snow this Westinghouse 22" blower has lot of power and throws the snow a good distance. The blower worked perfectly. Works fine. The only complaint so far would be the shute adjustment bar. Seems fragile and hard to move around during removal of snow. I get the sense it will break soon.

The box that came in is incredibly heavy and I had to wait from November until Christmas when family members showed up for the holiday and they put it together for me in the living room (too cold outdoors to do this hours-long assembly) I would not have been able to do it myself! it had at least 64 screws and it took my son a couple of hours to put together and he's an engineer! It looks simple enough but I just caution anyone that is not adept and strong to make sure you have someone who can put it together for you and left that heavy box. Haven't tried it on Colorado snow yet... hope it works well. ... show more

I was going to buy another product but based on the glowing reviews I bought this one. Bad move. There were missing parts. Numerous missing parts. I suspect this was a returned product because some of the parts were not in a baggy and parts that didn’t seem to belong in here that were also loose. And there were supposed to be holes where some of the parts were supposed to be screwed in but there were no holes. (Ie the holes were there on one side but not the other). Contrary to what some said that it was easy to put together I’d say I put toy houses together that were simpler. Of course this may have felt hard since there were missing / wrong parts and it took a little while to figure that out. I recruited someone to help me who is a lot more mechanical minded and they felt the same way. I shipped it back. Even if everything was there, I was shocked at how cheap this was. I can’t imagine this working in a colorado snowstorm. And I only have a driveway. It felt more like a big plastic toy than a machine. ... show more
