The item is very beautiful and romantic. It’s not super bright with 3 lights but we have recessed lights in that room already which we can use if we need extra brightness. I bought this mainly for decoration. The main downside is it’s so hard to tell which is the ribbed hot wire and which is the smooth neutral wire. First the two are both black. They are connected down the middle and only split at the end. The ribbed one is hardly ribbed at all. Maybe has an extra thin line of rib on it. But the smooth one isn’t without rib because as you peel apart the two black colored wires that are fused together the side where they were connected looks like a rib itself. Second I had just installed a chandelier the other day where the hot and neutral wire were interchangeable so because this one was so hard to tell I assumed they were also the same. But definitely not because as soon as I tested the lights it short circuited I knew I had it wrong and just switched it and retried. I thought no big deal if it causes me a couple more trips to the basement to turn on and off the circuit. But what was really strange was the second day I tried to turn on the lights and it short circuited again. Then I tried many more times after that and it seemed ok but we are only in our third or forth day of having the item installed so we will keep an eye out for it. We love this light. It looks great on or off. I wish that it had been sent with better packaging. It was just sent in the retail box and came a little bit bent. I was able to bend the hoops back in shape but it was a bit of a bother. The installation is a bit challenging because you have to thread the wires through a center bolt. I also wish that it came with LED light bulbs but the price was right. ... show more

Love this light! I used to work in lighting design so I know in lighting you generally get what you pay for. I sold everything from high end brands, to low end so I have to say when this arrived I didn’t have high hopes but after reading the reviews, and needing something to put up quick while being on a tight budget, I was impressed when I pulled it out of the box! For the value, you absolutely cannot beat this! The finish is great, the size was perfect, and it is sturdy while achieving the look you’d otherwise get with lights that are two-three time more expensive. Beautiful fixture. Our electrician installed this for us, but it was easy for him. I don't mess with DIY when it comes to electric or plumbing. We are super happy with this purchase. Makes a statement & looks expensive. Paired with Amber Edison lights.

We got this pendant for our 18 years olds bedroom. She is doing a neutral/bohemian theme. This light is beautiful. We put some Edison style light bulbs in it to really give it character. This was a great price as the one we were looking at Lowe’s was $60 more.

    • Good light but thought I would like the design more.

It’s well made, but I didn’t care for the design as much in person as I thought I would based on the picture. This is based merely on my own personal preference and nothing more. It’s a great value for someone who likes the design.
