Ok, I went through 2 blankets before landing on this one. I purchased the Eastsora brand but found that the electrical cord and control unit were too short and I had to drape the cord over the top of the bed. I purchased another Westinghouse model blanket and found that it did not heat very well and the material was rather thin. This blanket heats well and the smart control unit is perfect much better than the Eastsora brand and the other Westinghouse model. The smart control unit is on my nightstand and the cord to the blanket is long enough that it easily fits under my bed rather than on top of me as was the case with the Eastsora brand. The material is very plush and cozy. Yes it costs more, but it's worth it. I also liked the camel color. Fits right into my room decor. I will keep this blanket for those cold nights that we occasionally have here in Florida. Love the blanket and highly recommend it if you are looking for an electric blanket.

Absolutely love this Westinghouse Electric Blanket Throw! From the moment I took it out of the box, I was impressed by how soft and cozy it feels. The plush Sherpa is incredibly warm and comforting, perfect for lounging on the couch or adding an extra layer to the bed. The 6 heating levels are a huge plus, it’s easy to find the perfect temperature whether you just want a little warmth or full on cozy comfort on a cold night. The 2-10 hour auto off feature gives great peace of mind, especially if you tend to fall asleep with it on. Another big win is how easy it is to care for. Being machine washable makes it super convenient and keeps it looking and feeling fresh. Overall, this blanket is well made, heats evenly, and feels luxurious for the price. The first thing you notice is the quality of the material. The Sherpa is thick, plush, and actually feels like a high-end blanket even when the heat isn't turned on. Most importantly, it actually works! I’ve been using it daily and haven't had any of the technical failures I experienced with the "bargain" brands. The heat distribution is also perfect. It warms up quickly and evenly across the entire blanket, so there are no cold spots. With 6 different heat settings and the auto-off timer, it’s exactly what I was looking for. If you’re tired of thin, flimsy blankets that break after three weeks, do yourself a favor and get this one instead. It is well worth the investment!

A must for people with chronic pain, joint trouble, neuropathy, or who just can't get warm. This is the best of a myriad of products I have tried: the blanket itself is a nice, thick, very soft sherpa (alone it would be a terrific blanket), and while you can feel the wires as in all similar items, they are negligible in terms of my noticing or being bothered by them. They come with a heated blanket, but these are thin, flexible, and are really not annoying at all. I chose the twin size for my couch so I could keep warmth around my neck and back and knees, as well as covering my feet and I'm glad I did; the throw size would still be nice, but it's fantastic in a full length. Haven't washed it yet but it doesn't look complicated, and the controller detaches easily. The cord is very long, so it can be positioned any way you like without having to stay right next to the outlet. I have had a number of back surgeries and have RA, and to be able to relax into this magical blanket and warm my joints is a dream; as a woman of a certain age I also get too warm sometimes, and the ten settings allow me to get the temp just right for my biorythms. On high it gets as warm as my heating pads, and on low-medium settings it takes the chills and spasms away, and the blanket is dense enough to pad the knees and ankles perfectly. I couldn't be happier with this blanket. The deep blue is also really pretty, and folded up on the back of the couch it looks as nice as any similar sherpa blanket, and better than many. It can also help keep the house thermostat down, and the timer prevents you cooking if you fall asleep (and you will). Insomniacs, fellow travelers who have pain, feel anxious, or just need to beat a drafty room, do yourselves a favor. Recommend this highly, in any size or color.

Come evening, I get cold. Usually it is when I am done with my day and I am sitting down to dinner in my recliner. I dont like a hot house, but I do like having a warm heated blanket to help take the edge off. I went with the "throw" because it suits my needs. I usually toss a regular blanket on top to help trap the heat. I recommend doing so if you prefer more warmth. I use it at highest heat setting (6). Takes a little while to fully heat up. Once it does, it isnt hot hot like some I have had, but it is a gentle warmth that most will benefit from. Again, I put a blanket on top to help trap the heat. We keep our house cool (62 ish), and the outside temps have been freezing. Again, I am fine when I am busy all day, but come evening I am done and I get cold. I consider a heated blanket an absolute muct have. So when my blankets stopped working, I set out to order another pronto. The heating blanket I loved most of all just totally stopped working. A less preferred heated blanket basically stopped working (would barely get warm, or would take way too long to warm up). So I dont invest much in these things. I like the overall look and feel. Neutral beige color goes with my decor. Pleasantly soft to the touch. Even nice enough feeling without using the cord and heat. Cord feels secure. Controls are basic and easy to use. Can see the display just fine.

Bought the rust color in 2024 for my teen daughter and it's going strong. We live in the PNW and have chilly nights about 7-8 months of the year. This blanket gets heavy use and has no shedding at all. No issue with the electronics wither. If you're in the market of one, this is a solid option and I highly recommend it.

There's a lot to like about this blanket. The cord is plenty long enough to plug into the wall behind the bed. I tend to start out cold, but then get warm in the middle of the night, so having the different time options is great. The material is super soft -- the cat is a huge fan. Another nice feature is that the controls are easy to use, and after you set the time and temp, the light goes off, so I'd you're sensitive to light, it's great. It also remembers your previous setting. There are 10 heat settings, and here's where I struggle. With my old blanket, 6 (out of 10) really put our a lot of heat. I would set it to 6 and then have to turn it back to 3 after about an hour. With this blanket, the 6 is... warm. Even the highest setting isn't hot. I think it has to do with the fact that, because of the fluffy material, the blanket isn't at all heavy. When the cat is curled up with me, and the blanket is pressing against me, the heat is great. But without the weight, it's a very gentle and subtle warmth. The instructions say not to use it under another blanket or comforter, so we just have it on top of our microfleece sheet. I don't think the heat would go through a blanket between it and the sheet, but we haven't tried it. I think the only way to make it really hot would be to put something on top of it, like another blanket or comforter. Or seven more cats.
