Excellent piece of equipment...easy to assemble, easy to use, lightweight, powerful, and does a great job. The only slight downfall is the small thatch bag, but sort of to be expected as the equipment is small. I am very happy with purchase and can't wait to see my beautiful lawn after dethatching.

The dethatcher rake works well. I have not used the aerator / scarifier blade. I mainly got this unit for the dethatcher. Renting one for 2 seasons would easily pay for this unit so I decided to buy this instead of renting. The unit seems light but it works well and as intended. I would recommend this as a buy if you are looking for a good home lawn dethatcher. It is small and light enough to easily store and the handle folds down. I use it with a 12/3 extension cord, 75’ using a 20A outlet. I don’t feel a loss of power with the 75’ cord. Seems plenty powerful. Will have to empty the bag frequently but just plan it in. Unit seems well constructed to last years. Not sure if I can replace individual dethatcher tines when needed in the future, or if I will have to replace the entire rake roller. I went with Westinghouse as I believe it is a USA company, although the unit is likely made in China. 5 stars as does a good job dethatching my lawn and quality should last easily a number of seasons with front and back yard seasonal use. ... show more

Easy to assemble, easy to switch blades. Obviously not manufactured in East Pittsburgh, but nice to buy a Westinghouse branded tool. Works as expected. Good value for low cost, not much more than it would have cost to rent.

Build quality is decent on this but lots of plastic parts. I worry about the longevity of those. It is easy to assemble and use. Do not buy this if you intend to use the aerator. The speed the blade spins at will rip up your grass and till the soil. This should be advertised as a dethatcher and tiller. I tested a spot first and it tore all the grass up in 5 seconds.
