    • I love my machine
This machine is wonderful. Only catches is that if you’re used to using a domestic machine, there is a learning curve to this machine from the way you place the bobbin to the way you work the tension but once you learn those few tips the possibilities are endless. If you are purchasing this machine, and you don’t already own a Juki, I suggest that you order a set of extra needles. It only comes with one as well as a pack of bobbins specifically for the Juki. They are smaller than the average bobbin so if you already have bobbins that you’re using in your domestic machine they will not work in your industrial machine. One of the major things I learned is you need thread that is stronger than your domestic machine uses so using a bonded polyester or nylon Tex 45-70 thread works great in this machine. And you definitely need to order a tension bar for the top of your machine. The one that it comes with does not work. They have a ton of them for the jerky. They are not very expensive if you grab those four things for while you ordered the machine then you’ll be ready to start sewing as soon as you have it put all together. ... show more

    • I love this machine!
I needed to drill holes myself, so having a power drill and drill bits are necessary; however, the seller responds quickly to let you know and offers to send you a video. I followed the video, but the table parts and pieces were different, so it took a bit more time to figure things out. Hopefully you'll be able to figure it out watching the video on YouTube like I did just search "Assembling the JUKI DDL-8700 or 8700H Step by Step". The video by LeatherNation was much more helpful, because he actually showed how to align the holes for drilling. There's another video by cut/sew, which I also watched. So yes, I watched two separate videos to make sure I was doing it correctly. Both videos had different table parts/accessories than I received (videos used K-legs; mine have L-legs) Overall, I'm satisfied with my machine and the seller's responsiveness. ... show more

    • A great first purchase of an Industrial sewing machine.
I make outdoor gear and other types of backpacks and bags and got to the point where a home machine could no longer get the job done. This thing is amazing and does it with ease. Assembly was a little challenging until I found the correct videos on YouTube. It is a GREAT deal for the capabilities of the machine. I bought a different set of feed dogs and throat plates to work with lighter materials. ... show more

    • Heavy duty without the price and complications of a Walkfoot
First, I should start by saying I have been researching heavy duty machines for a good year or so before I finally decided to purchase it. I own a design/sewing studio and already have a DDL-8700 and DDL-8100e and needed something that I can sew leather on, but didn't want to pay for a walk foot, so the DDL-8700H seemed like a viable replacement. I was right. It arrived in 3 DAYS! Shipped in 3 packages, all arrived at once. I was so impressed... and then I sewed with it. OMG. I have a ton of automotive grade leather from my former life in that industry so I figured I would test it out on that, it went through 4 layers and wasn't even phased, it didn't even slow down. It does take a long time to put together, my husband I are pretty well versed in it now, but it still took us a couple hours. Looks just like the DDL-8700 but with "beefier" parts - feed dog, foot, etc. Needless to say, I am super happy with my purchase and plan on making leather bags with it. I also work on a lot of denim repairs so it will be great for that too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. ... show more

MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER Never will buy from this seller again. First of all. This kind of machine is my favorite. I’ve been using Juki for years. I’ve ordered this item 2 months ago. The table came in damaged. I contacted customer support. The seller said that they will send a new machine. I’ve been waiting for another 2 weeks. Never got the machine. Contacted customer support again. They said that I’m going to have a refund. AT THE END I NEVER GOT THE MONEY BACK YET AND I HAVE NO MACHINE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SELLER. Updates: I have not received the refund. I’ve been waiting for 4 months. Never ever will get anything from this company. DO NOT TRUST THEM. ... show more

    • Great machine, needs an owner’s manual and a better delivery method.
I received my Juki 3 weeks after the delivery date. It arrived with one corner of the table damaged/crushed. I recommend that an instruction manual be included. If not for You Tube videos, I would have been out of luck. As of 2 days ago, I was finally able to use the machine. It is quiet and very powerful, which I love. ... show more

Build to last several lifetimes. Quality is very good. The Table that comes with in build like a military tank. The only thing that needs improvement in the mounting Hardware. Wood screws for the table are to small for a heavy duty table We us Carriage bolts 3/8 -16 x2 1/2 to mount the legs to the table. Replaced the Bobbin wonder with fine thread bolts and added Casters.
