I would not let kids or seniors try to operate this. I think it’s too dangerous and the snow ice goes everywhere if you don’t pay quick attention to rotating the bowl while the machine makes the snow. I can operate it ok after getting used to how strong and fast it is. I really like the bright red color.

Ordered this to make the shaved ice for Bingsoo and couldn't be happier with the results. It tears through a pile of ice cubes faster than anything else I've seen. I was afraid it would be slow and too much would melt before we had enough for dessert, but not a chance. Solid build and easy to use. My only regret perhaps is that I would have liked the hopper to hold more ice, and the unit to sit higher so we could put a larger container under it. Otherwise it's a great unit.
