New favorite garlic press. You will need to put a little muscle behind it as it takes a fair amount of pressure to actually cut through the garlic.

In terms of cleaning, I like this better than a normal garlic press where you add the garlic and squeeze the handle together. However, it is not as easy peasy to crush the garlic as the pictures would have you believe. Trying to crush a whole garlic clove proved to be a bit of a challenge, requiring a decent amount of effort. I found that slicing the clove and then crushing proved to be much easier. All in all, I like it better than the other aforementioned garlic press. Plus, I love the Count Gracula design - it tickled my inner dork! LOL!

This thing is adorable and is kind of fun to use. It also trims off zero time in the kitchen. You lose so much of the garlic clove (see photo) unless you’re okay using the squished parts. It’s also a beast to clean. So much garlic gets stuck in those little holes. Ugh. It honestly takes less time to just chop/mince myself than to use and clean this.

If you're looking for a garlic press, you can do worse than this one. The metal part is solid. The plastic is sufficiently sturdy. Cloves of garlic press easily with a few rocks. I'm not sure I'd put this in the dishwasher. It's easy enough to clean in the sink.
